I'm a part of a military family, so when I was younger, I lived in a variety of overseas countries. One of them being Israel.
I lived nearby Tel Aviv, and I remember watching MTV a bunch on TV around night time whenever my parents were out doing something else or busy with house guests. This was around 2005, when I was 9.
One night, I saw something during the commercial break that really creeped me out, mainly just because of how it ended. I only saw it once.
This particular thing I'm trying to find...I'm not sure what to classify it as. I'm fairly sure it was a music video of some kind, but I don't know if the music that played throughout the video was, like, an actual song by a known artist, or just some thrown-together thing to serve as flair for the visuals. Basically, I'm unsure if I could consider it more of an animated short (something utilized by the channel to play during commercial breaks or in between the main programming), or an actual music video.
My memories of the entire thing are super vague. It was a 3D animation, with no voicing. The kind of godawful late 90's/early 2000's 3D animation that just looked creepy. It's centered around an alien. It's this grey little humanoid guy. He didn't look like a typical grey though, from what I recall. His eyes were fairly human-like, as opposed to the huge black void eyes greys are typically depicted with. The music seemed sorta upbeat, maybe electronic. I genuinely have a hard time trying to remember what the vast majority of the music video was about. It's really only the ending that stuck with me. The best that I can recall is that it's about the alien doing various mischievous things on a spaceship. Until it eventually reaches the end scene.
The video ends with a sudden fade to a direct overhead shot of the alien's face with his eyes closed, which then zooms out to reveal that he's on a surgery table, presumably dead. There's a large circular hole in his midsection, with purple blood surrounding the immediate area of the wound. I can't remember specifically, but there might have been a scalpel next to his body. The camera continues zooming out, showing more of the immediate surroundings, which appears to be an empty sterile metallic surgery room, with no one else around.
At this point in the video, the music has already ended, so it's just eerily silent as the camera continues slowly panning away from the body in an upward direction. There may have been a faint droning spaceship-esque hum - the type you hear in every episode of Star Trek: TNG. The video fades to black as it continues panning away. And that's it.
My main takeaway from the ending was that it's implied that he was captured and dissected, a reverse of that specific trope involving aliens.
I've always wondered what the hell this memory of mine was about, and I've never been able to find the music video in question. I've had several dedicated search sessions over the years and have still never come up with anything.
As to the origins of the music video, I can only think of a few possibilities:
So, yeah, any help would be greatly appreciated.

As to the origins of the music video, I can only think of a few possibilities:
- It was some sort of Israeli animated short, specifically used for the Israeli broadcast of MTV.
- It was an American animated short, that was used for the Israeli broadcast of MTV (there was an abundance of American programming that even maintained its English voicing, with Hebrew captioning at the bottom of the screen; one specific example I can think of was Striperella).
- It was an actual music video made for an actual artist's song, that was then part of a lineup of other music videos (though, I don't remember this preceding or following any other music videos).
So, yeah, any help would be greatly appreciated.
