Women couldn't own a credit card or bank account without a male cosigner until the 1970s...The fact that it's only been in the past 50 years is pretty disturbing to me.
theres flowers in antarctica and its not good news
We all only have less than 10 years to live……..
If our laws were more like nature intended, crimes like cannibalism, murder, rape, or pedophillia would not only be perfectly legal, but fucking encouraged.
The reason older people are so miserable is because humans aren’t naturally supposed to live that long.
Schools don’t give a shit about bullying until the victim either starts shooting up the place, or if he fights back.
Speaking of school shooter’s, one of them were actually born on September 11, 2001. I’m not kidding.
And another sad fact: in a friend group, there will be that one friend that outlives everyone, and attend their funeral. Then they will die, knowing none of their friends went to their funeral.

I was shocked at just how common infant deaths/miscarriages/stillborn/child deaths were until the 20th century. People talk about the "good ol days" and how "safe and comfortable and wonderful life was" when like 50% (!!!) of that generation's kids wouldn't survive past age 10. A book I loved as a kid mentioned the discovery of a colonial era doll coffin-this was a "toy" designed to teach a kid WHEN (not if) a sibling died O___O
A good example is the Little House on the Prairie books/show-like, people get the warm cozies from them, but like EVERYTHING killed people back then-weather, bad harvests, robbers, work accidents, losing one's way outdoors, the cold, the heat, squabbles with indigenous peoples or other neighbors, polluted water sources, disease, animal attacks, poor sanitation, etc. People just lived in a constant cycle of watching everyone die around them.

If that doesn’t sound like hell on earth, I will never know what will.
Just a more lighthearted fact: if you follow a cooking recipe, and it tells you to “enjoy”, and you don’t, you can’t complain, since you technically didn’t follow the instructions.
The average person walks by over 30 murderers in there lifetime unknowingly.
There’s also the fact that the FBI reckons there are between 25 and 50 active serial killers in the United States at any given time, and most haven't been caught. This is according to World Atlas.
Oh, the shitty humanity! Are you stalking my profile without following me AGAIN?!

Humans are naturally selfish
What's that you both want ice cream okay there, wait one of your ice creams is bigger okay there, wait one has sprinkles okay there, wait one of you has more sprinkles than the other okay there, wait one of you has colder ice cream okay there.
Humans will always want more and they'll do anything they want to achieve that goal...
