First post on here, hope it's a good one. I'm not very well-versed in lost media, but I am deeply into lostwave (music that has surfaced but the artist is unknown). This stems from the lostwave community because I found it while looking on Discogs for a lostwave song called Foxes In Boxes. That song is now believed to be by the late Lamya Al-Mugheiry, however, this album remains a mystery to me.
According to the Discogs listing, Mars To Pluto is a folk album released in 2008 in Australia by an artist or band called Cats Ransom. However, this listing is the only record of this artist/band ever existing on the internet. The songs have never been put on YouTube, the page for the artist is completely blank, and not a single other mention of them can be found on the internet. Additionally, there's no music label listed on the cover, so it's unknown who to contact to find these songs. In fact, the album might have been self-released by the artist. This album really intrigues me because of just how unknown it is. This single Discogs listing is the only proof that these songs, this artist ever existed.
Here's the Discogs listing. I hope you are as intrigued as I am and want to find this album. I don't have much more to say on this topic, so I will catch you on the flipside.

Ohoho, this is an intriguing mystery! Thanks so much for giving such great information so far, and welcome to the community 🔥
I noticed that there is one user on Discogs who is listed as having a copy of 'Mars to Pluto'. I signed up for an account and have sent an email asking for more information! They were last listed as posting a year ago, but I'm going to have a poke around and see if there are alternative methods of contact. The good news is that this user has posted lots of images from albums to Discogs before, so chances are they'll be happy to share!
Apparently the band is a duo formed by two Australian folk artists, Cat Edmunds and Tanya Ransom. The page also has a link to the band's MySpace profile, which is now empty, but apparently used to host the songs "Eggplants and Oysters" and "Pirate Song". I also found a YouTube video of a live performance from 2008 and a last.fm page for the band.

From your research, I found another live performance of Cats Ransom at Matso's in Broome W.A., with a song called 'The Dancing Song'. This video shows a third performer (the male vocalist). It seems that Tanya Ransom also struck out on her own, with her own YouTube channel and original music. Her channel has several links to her work, including her Facebook—I'm going to reach out and ask about the album!

Quick update! I received a reply from the individual on Discogs who owns a copy of 'Mars to Pluto'. He says he has quite a large CD collection and believes he must have picked it up on Facebook Marketplace, as that's where he gets most of his CDS: it isn't one he sought out specifically. He believes it's buried somewhere in his garage. He's got my contact information and will notify me when he digs it out!
Likewise, I've contacted Tanya Ransom and explained what we do/why we're looking for Mars to Pluto. She has replied initially confirming she was one half of Cats Ransom, but hasn't replied to the longer message yet. I won't follow up for a week or so, as it must be a weird question to receive! Either way, I think the chances of hearing the full album are pretty good.
