Tacchi a Spillo (Stiletto Heels in English) was a drag queen competition show that aired on channel Italia 1 back in 2001. The show predated the famous American drag show Rupaul's Drag Race, and was the first drag competition show on television. The show was created by Claudio Lippi and Michelle Hunziker, and had Rupaul Charles as a regular judge on the show. 8 drag queens were set to preform in talent shows showcasing singing, dancing, and acting for a chance at winning 100 million Italian lira (around $260 USD) and the title of "Lady Tacco a Spillo" (Lady Stiletto Heels). The show, however, met criticism and backlash from Italy's right-wing party and critics, causing the show to be cancelled. The show aired only 3 episodes, none of which have surfaced.
The show's premiere date was October 2, 2001 and final airing was October 23, 2001. Duration was 110 minutes (I can't find if this is in total across all aired episodes, or each episode was 110 minutes.)
IDK if I'll even get a response, but I might try reaching out to known crew members listed on the show's Wikipedia page! Never hurts to ask!
