I'm a big One Piece fan, and I recently got into the topic of lost media. So far, I was only aware of the two worlds overlapping, in the forms of English dubs. Both through articles on this wiki (Odex, 4Kids, and pilots, with the first two being actually found), and one forum thread regarding Funimation's original censored dub.
However, I was recently made aware of one piece of media (no pun intended), that I originally thought was obscure; but turns out to be, as far as we know, actually lost.
On December 11, 2015, from 2:55 AM to 4:10 AM, Fuji TV aired a special episode of the One Piece anime, titled "One Piece: Long Ring Long Land Arc — A One Night Abridged Special" (ワンピース~ロングリングロングランド編~ 一夜限りの特別編集版). The episode served as an abridged recap of the manga & anime's Long Ring Long Land Arc (aka Foxy Pirates Arc), meant to serve as a refresher and promotion for the then upcoming TV special "Adventure of Nebulandia" (アドベンチャー オブ ネブランディア), which featured the return of the Foxy Pirates as antagonists.
The recap most likely cut out games that were exclusive to the anime adaptation of the arc, that weren't in the original manga, which served as filler; as the Nebulandia special it was promoting, notably acted like those games never happened (along with ignoring other filler arcs from the anime, including ones where the Foxy Pirates actually appeared).
While the Nebulandia special, the original anime episodes it was cutting down from (ep. 207-219), and of course the manga it was adapted from, are readily available; the special, as per its "One Night" title, was never re-aired or made available through streaming or home-media.
There may be one way to watch the recap, on a Japanese website, but only if you own a Garapon TV set. So far, I've seen no one confirm or debunk this idea.
While the arc it's recapping from is nobody's favorite from the manga or anime, I do am curious as to what the recap cut out or changed, or if content got remastered or not. And whether the recap stands on its own as an alternative to watching the arc in the anime, or if it's like the other recaps or retellings that assumes you have already watched or read the original (most likely the latter).
