For the last four years, I've been on a deep dive into a short-lived PBS cartoon from the mid-00's called Danger Rangers, a safety-oriented show featuring anthropomorphic animals that has a...convoluted behind-the-scenes history. To make a long story short, the show was conceived by two self-defense instructors from the Charlotte NC area and two local animators from Tennessee, turned into a proper show thanks to a chance encounter with someone with connections then thrown into chaos thanks to a lawsuit from one of the show's investors that I could go on for awhile about, but that's not why I'm here.
In the past, I've helped release some previously lost commercials featuring the characters plugging a local Charlotte pediatric hospital and concept art and scripts for the show's unfinished second season that got halted due to said lawsuit, but my current endeavor involves going to the very beginning, back when the show was still struggling in the proof-of-concept stage.
A few days ago, I managed to get in contact with one of the local animators, who shall be called Kevin from this point onward to protect his identity. Kevin detailed a few differences with me about the proof-of-concept pilot that differs from the final product. Rather than superheroes, the Rangers themselves were home inspectors, with Squeeky, a mouse voiced by Rob Paulsen in the show itself, taking on a role similar to that of Joe Friday from Dragnet.
Kevin said whenever he gets some free time, he'll see if he can upload anything from this version of the show, be it concept art, animation or even the whole pilot. I'll be sure to post more when Kevin gets back to me.
For anyone reading this thread, I can vouch for Gokai here. He's the biggest Danger Rangers fan I know and has spentless countless hours (if not days/months) going over everything from this series.

UPDATE: I brought this pilot up with one of the other creators of the show, Mike Moore, who I've been in contact with for awhile now, and he had this to say.
He sent me this back in late December, so I haven't heard back from since then. I know for a fact he's a busy man with a welding career now and he's probably still looking for it, so I'll be sure to make another post should I hear back from him.
