I read on a site somewhere discussing the production of the movie Rock-a-Doodle, that on a VHS of "All Dogs Go to Heaven" (from 1989) there was an ad for Rock-a-Doodle, before the design of the character Goldie was changed. I looked into some ads online and couldn't find it. The site that mentions the trailer: cartoonresearch.com/index.php/the-rock-a-doodle-story/

And comparing the version of Goldie in the trailer to the final version, indeed she's colored differently, and her clothing is slightly different. So, this confirms that the trailer isn't lost, and that the fact that Goldie looked a bit different between that trailer and the final movie is indeed true.
