The official site for Sonic Adventure 2: Battle had, as I recall a Flash-based interface where you controlled a 16-bit sprite of Sonic running along a "timeline" of sorts to promote the 10th anniversary, with goal signs marking each year from 1990 (the early development stages) to the (then) present. Every major Sonic game was listed and their box art shown, as well as some merchandise. Long story short, while you can access the archived site here, the .SWF file containing almost the entirety of the site was never archived. The file name is "_sonic_2_battle.swf." There's even a short discussion thread about this very topic at the Sonic Retro forum here, indicating I'm not the first person to remember this and try to recover it. I thought it would be fun to have, since it's almost a little "game" in and of itself, but nope.

Hmmm, this is interesting, because another Sonic website is lost too, which I also believe had a flash game, check this thread: forums.lostmediawiki.com/post/70094/thread
If you open it, you can access the timeline feature I was talking about by clicking on the "10th Anniversary" link and then on "Timeline" on the little menu that pops up. The problem is the SWF relies on external assets to actually load any of the information, so when Sonic jumps into a year marker, a black screen just zooms up. It also starts with 1991, not 1990 as I previously stated.
EDIT: Actually, it looks like a LOT of the site is archived:
