In 2003 a documentary was released called Nefertiti Resurrected, focusing on a claim from Egyptologist Joann Fletcher that the mummy of Nefertiti had been found. It was controversial and eventually debunked, but I still find it nostalgic as it fascinated me as a child.
Anyway, here's where the lost media part comes in. The documentary as I remember it from the Discovery Channel (narrated by Tamara Tunie) is readily available online, but there is an alternate version with narration by Kate Winslet that I've never been able to find. I'm interested to hear it as a fan of Winslet's work (especially Titanic). Apparently her narration was for a UK target audience. Another title for the documentary is Nefertiti Revealed, and there is an Australian DVD on eBay right now with that name, though the back cover still lists Tamara Tunie as the narrator. Tunie does an excellent job herself, but like I said before I can't help but be curious about this other version which is apparently lost.
