Hey so I have a bit of question if anyone else remembers seeing this one pilot that cartoon network shown back in 2008 or 2007. Its this one pilot where this alien, who i think has the same voice actor as man-dark from deters lab, who is room-mates with this guy named Derick. i remember the alien having yellow skin, black eyes with white pupils and black hair and Derick wearing a red shirt and having orange hair i think.
So this is how the whole pilot goes from what i can remember.
So Derick told his alien room-mate to order a pizza. He calls the phone and told Derick, Hey Derick Japan is on the Phone. Then i think Dizzed or the alien finally order the pizza. then the alien spoke Japanese and then the camera recording shut's off.
I do wanna know if theirs any you tube archives of this pilot online or if anyone else remembers seeing this pilot.
I was actually in contact with the guys that made the cartoon. Royer Studios. Me and Bruce Royer exchanged a few emails back in 2013, and he said he was planning to upload a copy to Dropbox, but he apparently never got around to it. It's apparently part of a larger video called "The D.A.R.E. Report."
Well that's good to hear. So the D.A.R.E Report is another thing that's lost?
It is on YouTube but unfortunately it's a version that's dubbed in Hebrew nobody uploaded the English version, It would be cool if the English version of "The Land of Decisions and Choices" was found and uploaded
I haven't contacted D.A.R.E again yet and that one police station which i believe they still have the English version of this tape. but again i'll see if they have the English version of this tape. It's great that the film is still online but it's sad that it's not on You Tube yet.
I don't know if anyone has tried, but I wish you luck in doing so! Shouldn't be too hard to track down a copy, honestly. I don't think anyone has put forth a decent effort yet.
sorry that i haven't contacted my old school, D.A.R.E, and the local police station that possibly had the film yet. But i'll get to it. I've gotten busy with college.
Hey there, guys. Name's Ryan Silberman, and I've been a lurker on the site for around some months now. In October, I figured that I could try and find some lost video games, myself. Wouldn't you know it, I happened to come across the English copy of Terrifying 9.11 (The unofficial Metal Slug port for Game Boy Color with shoehorned 9/11 themes), so I was quick to order that one. Come late November, and I received said copy. I intend to mail it to Taizou (who dumped the Li-Cheng Chinese version of the game - I have been communicating with him about the plan) sometime within next week, but I did release a video a few days ago showcasing the cartridge and playing it on camera.
Because it's an unscripted video of me recording something, I might sound kinda awkward during it.
Either way, I have also included some of the previously-yet-to-be-seen-by-the-public English versions of the game's cutscenes at the end of the video (as photos of the Game Boy Advance showing them, but still). Also interesting to note is that the seller of the cartridge found the video and told me more about what he knows of the game, which you can see in the comments section.
To sum it up - I have the game, I will mail it, and Taizou will dump its ROM for all to download and play, which will effectively render this version as no longer lost.
This is the internet. Don't people make fun of 9/11? never-mind.
I believe the film you're looking for is "The Land of Decisions and Choices". I've also been curious about it because I remember seeing it in school and being totally weirded right the hell out that I was watching a cartoon rabbit smoke crack.
Unfortunately, the English version is "lost", outside of any D.A.R.E officers/schools that probably still have it. So it's probably easy to find if you care enough about it. In the meantime, here's another language: m.youtube.com/watch?v=ri-0-TjEz4U
yes, this is the thing i was also mentioning.
Holy shit!!!!
So the English version is lost? well im going to see if that police station or my old elementary school still has the film.
has anyone contacted D.A.R.E directly about the English version yet?

So I remember seeing this anti-drug movie in elementary school, when I was in the first or second grade back in i think mid-2003 or 2004. So one day these police-men came to my school to talk about the dangers of drugs. And then they showed us this movie that looks like it came out in the early 90s or late 80s. I do not remember the title of the film, But do I remember that the film was produce or endorsed by D.A.R.E organization or ( Drug Abuse Resistance) i can tell because when the movie starts. they showed the mascot of the D.A.R.E organization coming out of a fairy-tale book. Well alright just let me cut to what few scenes i remember from that exact anti-drug psa film. the movie is about 3-kids going inside an abandon amusement park and i remember that their was these adults trying to get the kids to take drugs. One of them who i think was like the leader of that group was this man wearing a rabbit costume. Their was this once scene in the film where the kids ended up in a saloon. The man wearing a rabbit costume came out of nowhere said It's Drinking time kids. While taking a sip of alcohol from a bottle. the kids where looking around the characters in the saloon, talking to each other about the dangers and the side-effects of what would happend if they where to take these drugs. While the scene transactions from a character who was effected by the alcohol to a realistic-art description of someone on an operating table with a doctor performing an operation. While the kids where talking over the scene, describing the results of what would happend with the effects of Alcohol. Then in the final part of the film. These 3 kids unplugged an electrical outlet, while i think some villain was yelling in horror. Then in the final part of the film the kids ended up in a class-room next to a police officer, reading a report about the effects and dangers of drug's. Which I kind of think the whole event that happend to them was just a story they were telling to the class. Now, I tried to find the film if it was archived on YouTube but unfortunately nobody has it posted at all. So then i contacted D.A.R.E's website directly and call them by their offices in California. at first they told me that their Headquarters don't have anything that specific in an email post. Then they thought I was talking about cartoon hero's to the rescue. But that wasn't it at all. imgur.com/a/PH08P
So my best possibility now is if either they find out if someone else online has the film, contact my old elementary school, or the police department in that area if they have the film. I really need some help trying to track this film down. Thanks.
