OK my contact got back to me, she tried to order the film and the people on the website said this film wasn't released yet due to some court cases. Wonder what those court cases are all about, maybe someone on here could look into that further?
Hate to say it but you might have got burned.
No me getting burned would've been if I'd actually tried to buy an item from that website myself and gotten charged their outrageously expensive shipping fees and gotten nothing in return, just attempting to make one purchase on there myself would've cost me like 80 bucks.
I did not get "burned" at all as my client provided screenshots and everything of their correspondence with the guy on the site. She got glowing reviews on that website so if you're implying she's a scam artist you're dead wrong.

So... you subcontracted someone who got burned on your behalf?
"oooh, you're a- a freaked out child in the woods..."

Uh no she did not get "burned" at all she was happy for my business and I gave her positive reviews in response, you clearly have no idea what Upwork as a site actually does. She knew in advance this was a likely outcome as she knew about this site.
This isn't the first time i've hired her to do this sort of thing for me either, i've had her check a few other rare shows listed on that site to see if they had them, those didn't pan out either but I had to be absolutely sure. Me and her have a nice arrangement, I get to find out if those listings are legit for a reasonable price and help out a nice person and give them good feedback and she gets an easy way to make money, so everyone wins here. nobody is trying to scam anyone here, it's a nice mutually beneficial relationship, so there's no real cause for alarm here.
