There was a Kickstarter that the guy behind the movie, Lorenzo, claimed to have started, then never made it and ran off with people's money. He played us like a fiddle. He's a greedy scammer scumbag and that's all hell ever be

Ohhh, and it looked like such a legit, trustworthy, transparent campaign!
I mean, a Spongebob "mockumentary" that never existed in the first place, with fake data, dozens of false leads and that already played thousands of fans like a fiddle!!

Seriously. Anyone who donated to that scam deserved to get ripped off if you ask me
Egh, deleted my previous post since I realized I misinterpeted what crumbelivable said. By "never made it" I thought you meant the movie. But just to clarify for anyone else who also misunderstood that, at the peak of the search, Lorenzo and Mr. Orange announced there would be a Kickstarter, but this never happened. No money was stolen from ADWSS searchers, because no money was donated. I don't really know if that amounts to playing fans like a fiddle, though. If that was their true intention, wouldn't they have set up the Kickstarter and run off with the money, instead of just dropping the project altogether?
No, there hasn't been anything new regarding ADWSS as far as I know. If there was most people would have said it already, though at this point I feel the book on that has been closed.
