I sent an email to them asking for any information about the series I could get. I made sure to specify that I was not looking for Clutch Powers, and summarized what we know about the series.
But yeah, it's kind of crazy that they asked for my home address and phone number and all that. But, hey, whatever. I gave it to them, so hopefully I'll hear back.
So yeah, the Lego website probably won't be of much help.
Yeah back then they didn't seem to have individual websites for each theme. However the old adventurers website had an old flash game which featured choppily animated cutscenes and had actual voice acting. However I don't believe these could add up to 9 minutes so I'll assume these were only produced for the game and are not the televised series.

Thank you so much. If this doesn't work let's try contacting cartoon network UK.
So has anyone emailed Lego about this? I'm really not comfortable with having my zipcode anywhere on the internet. Ugh I remember they didn't used to ask you for that.
Considering that it was a one/two minute segment in between shows, I would probably assume it was a paid advertisement disguised as a show, basically they pay whatever CN wants, and they put on whatever lego wants. But the main thing is it must have been popular enough to warrant a compilation episode (well, if that post on the message board was true). And considering a show like "Action Legaue Now!" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GihnbWsv_1U) lasted longer, shows that these sort of shows are apericated.
Then that really begs the question of why did it go missing and why does no one seem to know about it? Maybe it was because it aired only in the UK but there'd still be more then one person who remembers this.
I'm guessing it was a UK only thing.
But considering the magazine used such specific dates, I assume that it only aired once. But due to the fact that hardly no information exists at all makes this harder to find.
I am hoping that someone somewhere has one recorded on VHS.

Yeah that is our best bet. But I think it may have been difficult to record. Not sure if you'll remember but back when I used VHS my Mum would get tapes that could remove ads from the recordings. I imagine those tapes would have probably detected this series as an ad given it's short running time (and the fact that's pretty much what it was). So someone would have had to have done constant recording. I don't know if recording tapes could block ads in 1998. And I imagine Lego may have it in their archives somewhere. Or maybe CN. I'm hoping that at most Lego will confirm it existed and (hopefully) tell us who produced it. But part of me worries this is gonna be another day with spongebob.
It looks like the only hope of finding it will be to contact Cartoon Network.
I emailed Cartoon Network of UK. I'll post any reply I get.
Oh wow. They were actually pretty helpful. And thanks a lot for contacting CN UK. This confirms that Lego did not create the series internally. If this doesn't work we better find individual CN employees and see if they can point us to the producers.
Judging by the supposed length of time the shorts (just under 1 minute according to the testimony) this seems too short to have been it. The testimony also mentions there being voice acting so that can't be it. Although it is very possible this is how it would have looked. I'll find the CN UK address and write them a letter next week. Hopefully something will come of it.

I'm not sure if this will be any help, but I remember going to Lego land in Windsor when I was younger and going on a ride with the same characters in the commercial. They had British accents, but I'm not sure if this is just because it was in the UK. Did they have British accents in the short? It was one of those shooting rides and you were in an Egyptian temple. I recall it being very popular because I think that it had opened recently. I went at around 2009, I think. I believe it was called Laser Raiders. I hope that this is of some help.
According to this, they aired as bumpers in-between shows, just like Spongebob: Re-Hydrated. They were about 1 minute long and aired all-together at one point.

I remember going to Legoland Windsor back between 2003 and 2005 I think. The ride was apparently opened in 2009. I doubt those voice actors are the same ones. It might be worth a shot if anyone could find them but portrayal of these characters in Lego media varied widely in terms of voice. I mean with ADWSS there was at least a producer they could go to but with this. Nothing. We have no idea who made these things. If there's some way to look through a database of who worked with CN between 1997 and 1998 we could have a lead. But I doubt such a thing is public.
