Don't know if there's a dedicated thread for music videos so I thought i'd make one here. There are certain concept music videos that were filmed but never released and replaced with generic "concert footage of band" ones instead. Two examples of this are KISS, who originally filmed a music video for "Thrills in the Night" featuring Eric Carr as a sleazy businessman hitting on his secretary(or something like that) but for whatever reason it wasn't ever released to the public. Nickelback also did this with "Never Again" which originally had a darker music video, in this case I heard it was scrapped due to the subject matter(as the song is about domestic abuse, i'm guessing the band didn't release it because they knew there was zero chance that MTV would ever allow them to air the original video).
There are also some music videos that were originally on tape that aren't online, like 90s hair metal band "Dillinger" who did a music video for "Captain of My Life"(or maybe it was "Nothing Without You" the other song of theirs featured in the 1992 film "Can it be Love") which was apparently released on a rare VHS tape back in the day but has never been re-uploaded.
If anyone knows of any other rare or unreleased music videos please do let me know.
This is a great idea for a thread!!! Here are some I know of:
"Hate Me Now" by Nas, feat. Puff Daddy (original version) "Do What U Want" by Lady Gaga, feat. R. Kelly "Revenge" by P!nk, feat. Eminem "Sweet Spot" by Flo Rida, feat. J. Lo "Dance Again" by Selena Gomez "He Said She Said" by Ashley Tisdale (original version) "The Other Chick" by JoJo "Something New" by Zendaya, feat. Chris Brown "Put It In A Love Song" by Alicia Keys, feat. Beyonce "Anytime You Need A Friend" by Mariah Carey (original version)
And a bunch of Britney Spears music videos in their original states.
There's some country music videos that i've had no luck finding like Haley Georgia "Ridiculous" Country youtuber Grady Smith apparently has a copy as he showed clips from it in his video "Super Weird Country Music We All Just Forgot About" but he hasn't responded to any of my requests to upload the full vid online.
He also talked about how several of actress Rainey Qualley's music videos from her 2015 album seem to gone from the internet.

I dropped the link to one in CaptiveofChrist's thread the other day for a promotional MV that was made for a shot-on-video horror movie back in 1989/1990.
There's also a music video that was made for Edgar Winter's Battlefield Earth album, but it the footage was rendered unusable and it never happened. Todd in the Shadows briefly mentioned it in his analysis of the album if you have the time to check it out.

I wonder if any photos or still from it exist at this point.
Apparently Warner Music is trying very hard to prevent anyone from seeing the music video for Neil Young's "Weight of the World" according to Todd in the Shadows as the only places it's not blocked are North Korea, Cuba and Iran.
If anyone can track that video down that would be swell.
