Moshi Monsters was a British children's MMO game created by London-based company Mind Candy, who you may recognise from their ARG Perplex City, with over 80 million registered users in 150 territories worldwide.
The game was closed on December 13, 2019 presumably due to Flash Player being discontinued on all browsers at the start of 2021.
The Moshi brand still exists, with their only properties under the brand left being Moshi Monsters Egg Hunt and their mindfulness app Moshi (formerly Moshi Twilight).
At one point, an animated TV series was in development, with Jocelyn Stevenson of Jim Henson fame taking role in the project.
The series was planned to be in a 52x11 format featuring characters, locations and other items from the franchise.

Little is to be found about the project aside from Richard Dinnick's LinkedIn and About page.
In an article posted on Pocket Gamer, Moshi Monsters' dropping revenue is mentioned. They released Egg Hunt with the accompanied storybook and were still supporting the webbrowser game by the time the article was written. Specifically it mentions the animated TV Show:
''Mind Candy is also working on a new animated show based on the IP, and is in talks with potential partners to make an entire series. It's not exactly clear just how far down the line production is on the show or whether a full series deal is close or likely, however.''

My idea is that Moshi Monsters: The Movie may have been the initial test pilot for the series, but due to mixed responses from news outlets and critics, the idea must've been scrapped after the movie finished it's theatrical run.
However, in 2017, an image was posted to the Moshi Instagram page showcasing that at one point, an animated series was in development.
If any Moshi Monsters fans are reading this, feel free to join the hunt for this unreleased TV series, and also add it to any Moshi icebergs if you can. Thanks for reading!

- On his LinkedIn, he lists himself as a screenwriter for over the course of 5 months, from September 2013 till January 2014. He was generating ideas for the series.
- List item On his About he lists the episode development under 2015 under "TELEVISION & FILM (PRODUCED)". This implies the project was finished and time-wise that it had been dropped and picked up or otherwise postponed.
