Man,i really thought i had it for a second,used an old version of firefox with flash still installed plus an app that can read actionscript 3 files (most of them).There was the loading widget for 3 seconds and then it just cut to black.

This is some cool searching you guys have been doing, I didn't even know Nick did so many different Halloween promotions before. It's too bad we still can't find any evidence of the SpongeBob one, I'm starting to lean towards the idea of it not existing in the same was as the other Zombified bumpers. It might have been from a similar promotion or a it's own kind of thing until Nick saw how popular it was and made more like I mentioned previously.
I haven't reached out to those animators yet but I will after the weekend. I'm actually kinda glad it's taken me so long because now we can ask them about the SpongeBob one specifically and if they remember how the project came to be in the first place.

Tbh, while i wanna believe a Spongebob one exists. Part of me feels like it doesn't just because looking at it from a companies perspective. I feel like Nick could be weary of doing Spongebob specifically because of Spongebob being their cash cow. Sometimes companies don't like their characters being too "out of brand" if that makes sense. That's why Sonic has no interesting alts in Smash if i'm not mistaken. You can make the argument that the others got ones. But the thing is that Fanboy and Mighty B! are sort of B-Sides i guess in that they don't have nearly the brand recognition as Spongebob. So they probably felt like "This won't damage this brand" Because what kinda company cares about the integrity of Fanboy and Chum Chum. And while the Fairly Oddparents was huge, especially at the time. They probably needed at least one recognizable character, so they went with the next best thing.
I'm sorry if this post doesn't feel coherent it's like 11:15 where i live i'm wired as all get out rn but TLDR: I think the Spongebob one not being real would make sense because to Viacom that would be like if Disney had official art of Mickey Mouse as a Zombie.
So Here is My theory i heard that spongebob one is the Animation as the fanboy and chum chum one and it said that spongebob and patrick are laughing in the fanboy and chum chum one fanboy was also laughing so i think people missrember that the fanboy and chum chum one was the spongebob and patrick one Or The Spongebob one could be the scaryst of them all and Nickelodeon want it lost so nobody remebers it

But anyway, I found out that these bumpers might have dated back to 2010 according to this tweet.
This might actually line up with my memory. I watched a lot of Nicktoons around 2010-2014 but didn't really recognize anything zombie related from exactly 2012. However, I do remember a 2010 Penguins of Madagascar zombie DVD that was heavily promoted on the network at the time, so maybe these might've been made for that. The tweet's probably just referring to something else or the bumpers were made for a general Halloween purpose and just so happened to line up with the DVD, idk. Just spitballing based on my fuzzy memory.

This could very well be a lead, but I'm also wondering if perhaps this is a reference to an episode of Fairly Odd Parents, unless this person was watching the bumper on nicktoons.com on November 8th.

I had the same thought. that episode scared the life out of me as a kid. is there a way to check episode logs to see if the episode was airing as the tweet was sent? or even the same day?
