I like hearing the weird things that scared us when we were younglings, so I'll go first. I didn't have a lot but when I did they were very weird. So when I was like 4 I had my first big obsession and it was with Jimmy Neutron, which meant I'd be watching it all the time which meant that I'd see DNA Productions thing a lot, but not just anything, I mean "Hi, I'm Paul!" (sorry for any nightmares you'll have tonight.) The funny thing is, I used to actually love this and I thought it was so funny that I'd rewind the credits and watch it over and over. This obsession lasted a good 3 and a half years before I moved on to like other things. I forgot about Jimmy Neutron for awhile until one night when I was like 10, I remembered Paul randomly. This time, it wasn't funny, I WAS HORRIFIED! I don't know where this thought came from, it was just appeared. I couldn't sleep for awhile that night. Then I forgot about it again. Now I like Jimmy Neutron again and Paul is no longer a threat to me, he's just weird. Anyway, that's my story. Sorry it's written bad, I'm tired. I over exaggerated this a little but that's fine. Anyway, tell me yours
Okay so for me there were two but just gonna talk about the one that horrified me the most (also disgusted):
So the media in question was in Codename Kids Next Door and with the episode titled "Operation Pinkeye" which I know CKND was known to have many moments where it had like disgusting moments and probably scary (I wouldn't say it was that scary compared to shows like Courage but trust me the disgusting moments totally tops it) but with Pinkeye. Oh boy let me tell you, through out the episode after every kid gets hit by a water balloon by the nurse who works at the school with our main characters going there, their eyes gets crusty and looks like they were gonna burst. As a kid at the time it first aired, I legit got scared that I would get pinkeye for two years and until I rewatched the show as a kid, I would skip it and watch the next episode.
And its really disturbing if you knew what the episode was inspired off of.

I don't know why, but something about Animal Crossing: City Folk always off putted me. Probably has to do something with Resetti, not to mention the fact that Wisp could appear out of nowhere at night (Thankfully I never encountered him)
Paul is a similar case for me, I could never watch Jimmy Neutron because I knew that he would be there at the end when I was done. And Jimmy Neutron is one of my favorite shows of all time, now that I have rewatched the full series.
Probably the biggest one for me was the SpongeBob episode Wormy, I could've gone without the fucking butterfly jumpscares.
I've mentioned that things like the Dic symbol, Spongebob's Summer Splash, and the PS2 dolphin idle screen all used to freak me out as a kid. But here's one that's really whack:
I once received a Who Wants to be a Millionaire kids game in a cereal box in the early 2000s. The only person who has a computer was my neighbor, so I bring it over to her house. We play it for a bit, but then she suggests we play the adult version her mom has. We couldn't even get pass the alphabetical order list round, and Regis (who I was quite familiar with from TV) would demean us every time over her early 2000s computer speakers. I'm pretty sure he called us stupid a few times, and so we gave up. I take mine home with me, but at night I can't sleep because I see Regis's smiling face on the cardboard CD holder in my room and keep hearing "you're stupid" in my head. At one point I had to turn the cover around so I couldn't see him. Sounds soo dumb but I suffered from intrusive thoughts around that time, so I'm sure it was "you're stupid" on a loop in Regis's voice. I STILL can't find that adult version of the game. I looked on YouTube and haven't found the one where he calls you stupid for not getting pass the first round.

As a little kid, I heard a story about a boy who got injured why riding on an escalator. I think he was sitting on it and his hand got sucked in. Regardless, it freaked me out. I’m honestly still kind of scared of escalators, particularly going down.
I also remember seeing the Bucky O’Hare cartoon as a little kid and a scene of someone (I think a villain) got sucked into a machine. It made me scared of hand driers for a while.

I've never heard of that and yet I'm still afraid of escalators. Going down especially, I just feel like I'll fall off and tumble down (Not helping is that I have the fear of heights and the fear of high ceilings.) (That's a real thing by the way)

I remember the first time I saw Operation PINK-EYE I was snacking on pretzels. That’s a memory that had been scarred in my head since 2004.

I have a few I can think of off the top of my head, and many I can't. I was a kid that frightened easily.
1) My music teacher in elementary school played us this and the part at around 5:51 freaked everyone out. Unfortunately the video quality of this upload isn't the best.
2) Cry Baby Lane freaked me out as a small kid--I was haunted by the memory of it for weeks. (Of course, now I have no idea why.) I've talked about this at length many times now so I won't elaborate beyond that.
3) For some reason, this story from Encyclopedia Brown Shows the Way ("The Case of the Lady Ghost") really scared me even as a third grader. Basically, a kid who's all alone on the beach sees what he thinks is the ghost of a bride, and that scenario was terrifying to me. I actually refused to sleep in my own bed that night, and it's the oldest I ever wanted to sleep in my parent's room as a kid.
A slightly less creepy (to an 8 year old me) chapter of the same book ("The Case of the Headless Runner") also frightened me. That one involved Encyclopedia and a friend walking home from a scary movie marathon in the middle of the night when they are accosted by a seemingly headless figure. The idea of being in that situation is also scary to a small child.
Even the rest of the cases in that book, which did not involve explicitly creepy things happening, unsettled young-me for some reason and I don't know why. Maybe it was something about the writing style and/or illustrations.
