Who has heard of or remembers a Nickelodeon programming block called Nick in the Afternoon? For those of you who don't, I'll say that it aired from 1994 to 1998 on weekday afternoons and was hosted by a popsicle stick named Stick Stickly (voiced by Paul Christie). Most of the block's wraparound content is lost. Is there any hopes of finding more footage of the block?
I remember it was a pretty big deal back in the day. Stick Stickly even got his own specials and was revived to host Nick Rewind on TeenNick a while back. So, Nick could release more segments for Nick Rewind. Then again, they said on a “fun fact” they displayed that they lost his Nose Day special, so maybe they lost other segments too!
I remember a segment where they would leave food, like pizza, out to spoil and give updates on what it looks like every week. There was also Stick looking for his brother, trying to avoid going on a rollercoaster but ultimately enjoying it and learning that he could ice-skate really well, but only when he’s upside down with the skate on his head.
Incidentally, one day they randomly aired a pilot for some show called “Squid Zone” or something like that which was about a kid battling a monster that visits him at night. I think that might be lost media now too.

So it seems Nick is short on Nick in the Afternoon in their archives. At least, from what I know now.

Oooohhh boy, stick stickly. I think someone made a stupid creepypasta out of that guy. I myself don't remember this since it was before my time, but it was probably a bit on the generic side for 90s Nick standards.
