I’ve been looking for a certain show for the past few weeks. I’m certain it aired on PBS or PBS Kids, and yet I’ve been unable to find anything like it online. I unfortunately can’t remember any names or characters, but I can describe the visuals and main points of the show.
I remember the show having an animated child-like character and a live-action young adult as the main characters. You’d follow the first character (I believe he was a frog or some green reptile/amphibian.) around a 2D setting while the second character acted as a guide. Every episode would play out as being in a clubhouse of sorts, getting in a car driven on roller coaster tracks, and stopping by 3 houses that were also 2D art. When the doors open to let the rollercoaster car inside, there would be a live action segment (though there may have been some animated short story? I remember the live action more though) that would teach you about different art topics (i.e. Color, painting, drawing tutorials, basic elementary school art lessons, mostly art tutorials like how to draw a cat or something). After the segment, you backtrack out of the house, and a stoplight attached to the car turns on one of the lights, one for each house you visit. I think I remember three fairies? Pixies? Three small characters that are in the stoplight. That or the stoplights actually have faces on them. I can’t remember for the life of me what the endgoal of each episode was, I think the main character doesnt have a motive and just goes around town each episode for fun. The last things I can remember content-wise are that the show ended with a sunrise and/or a sunset while the two main characters sat in a tree together and I can remember them saying I love you to eachother at the end of each episode.
The year I remember seeing this was I believe 2010, but it could easily be 2009 or 2011. Take anything described with a grain of salt though, since it’s been 10+ years and it’s possible some things are wrong. I have tried everything besides going to r/lost-media on reddit, mainly because I’m not sure of it being lost media yet. However if this doesn’t work then I’m not sure what other option I’d have.
Literally anything will help me, so please speak up if you have any questions or suggestions! Thank you so much for reading!
