Hi,
I wrote a thread on this before sometime earlier this year, or last year. But I didn't get very far with it, and life got in the way, so I don't want to necropost it considering it's old (and I no longer have access to that account anymore anyway). I've also tried the Discord a while ago and had no response as far as I'm aware.
Back in somewhere from 2006-2009, I would watch a lot of Pop TV, a kids network in the UK and Ireland. On this channel, there was a show that would play between Backyard Science. It wasn't part of Backyard Science, as far as I remember. The premise was that a man and this puppet (I believe it was a cat or some kind of animal anyway) would solve questions, usually with a scientific element.
This show really left a mark in my mind. One episode was about why time flies when you're having fun. The man sat in a bath full of custard, and the puppet went out and had fun on a rollercoaster. Despite the fact the time felt like it was going at different speeds for the two characters (slow and fast), the span of time was the exact same. The second episode I watched is what really freaked me out. The puppet doesn't want to sleep anymore, I don't remember why. After a few days of not sleeping he started to hallucinate, and at the end of the episode the man and the puppet sang a song together about why sleep is important. What really stuck with me was one of the lyrics talked about the fact that "If you don't sleep properly, you can die" (not the actual lyrics) or something to that extent. It made me really nervous as a kid to not stay awake at night. Yes I know this sounds ridiculous but I can still remember what this show looked like in my head, and it definitely wasn't a dream. I think the show aired either late afternoon or in the evening.
A few things:
The channel could be wrong, but I'm about 98% sure it was Pop TV.
I know the premise of these episodes sound really weird, but I'm certain this show was real. 100%. And I can't find anything on it and it's making me feel slightly crazy.
I've tried looking through Pop's shows multiple times and I really can't find it. I've tried searching quite a few things and I've had no luck.
This show is British as far as I remember.
Sorry for double posting about this topic, but any time I think about lost and unidentified media this immediately comes to mind and bugs me so much. Please, if you have anything on this let me know. Thank you. :-)
