On the "Disney" Iron Giant topic, according to rumors, movies like An American Tail, Land Before Time, and even possibly Anastasia (pre Fox buyout) PLAYED on some Disney Channel stations in international territories, leading to a lot of confusion as to what was "Disney" or not. Heck, I think SHREK played on Disney Channel a few years ago. Not sure how that conversation happened ROFL. If any non-Americans saw those sorts of non-Disney movies on Disney Channel, could you confirm?
I know Disney (and Toon Disney) has aired many non-Disney animated movies over the years. I don’t specifically recall the movies you mentioned, but I know I saw We’re Back and Cats Don’t Dance on Toon Disney like 20 years ago. I also remember several Hanna Barbara movies of the ‘80’s like Scooby Doo and The Ghoul School and The Flintstones Meet the Jetsons being on in the early to mid ‘90’s.
Ok. Even if Disney did air Iron Giant at some point in time why would it have been on Disney+? It's not theirs, they just (maybe) showed it. Like, I know it wasn't ever on D+ to begin with and it's just an ME but can't find a conclusion, it's really messing with me
Disney+ has only been around for like 3 years, and The Iron Giant is a Warner Bros property. I am not aware of Disney+ having WB content.
Exactly, it wouldn't make any sense for them to have it! But there's just a memory in the back of my mind of it being on there???
I want to think that it's because the Iron Giant could be mistaken for a Disney film by some and it does look like something they would have on Disney+
And yet another one from me-I swear Donkey Kong Bongo/Barrel Blast was actually released for the Gamecube in 2004-2005ish. I think I even saw a Nintendo Power review back in the day. It turns out I was mixing up the game with "DK: Jungle Beat," which was a completely different game. I didn't even know the "real Bongo/Barrel Blast" actually existed, which it did on the Wii and was a racing game! (Jungle Beat was made available on the Wii and WiiU later).

Cats Don't Dance aired only on Cartoon Network in my childhood from what I remember, didn't know it aired on Disney Channel so that's neat. And Hanna Barbara movies? That's a whole other level, I only remember those on Cartoon Network too, which makes sense with Ted Turner's acquisition of Hanna Barbara properties. Thanks for sharing!
For a while I was quite sure that the movie Home Alone was released in the '80s; I think that either 1984 or 1986 was the year that I felt most confident was the year of the movie's release. So, I felt pretty confused when I found out that the movie was actually released in 1990.

1990 is "close enough." It was also filmed in early 1990, and the 80s styles were still in effect then.

Reminds me of how for a while I thought Toy Story1 was released in 1986 instead of 1995. I have no idea why I thought that, but it was such a weird memory I had. Probably because of the sort of 80s aesthetic it had in terms of its settings.

I used to remember Ray J, Princess Love, and Brandy Norwood as siblings, but now, as it turns out, Ray J and Princess is a married couple in this reality. Anyone else remember that too?

Yeah I don't know why but in the US I saw Secret Life of Pets air on Disney Channel and I was extremely confused. I know this wasn't me misremembering either because there were even bumpers saying it was up next.
