So, there was this DS (might have been 3DS) rhythm guitar game (not Guitar Hero) that I played as a kid, and nostalgia waves are starting to hit, but I can't find the game for the life of me, and even if I could I have no clue where my old DSi or 3DS are. It wasn't like guitar hero where you press buttons, it used the stylus and you would tap and swipe notes. I remember Hey There Delilah by Plain White T's and Closing Time by Semisonic were both on the soundtrack, but I barely remember any other songs, especially since those two songs were the only ones on the soundtrack I knew before I played the game. I played it some time between 2010-2013, which is why I'm not sure whether it was DS or 3DS since I owned both at the time.

_alexpine_ on discord. 2018 was HOW many years ago?!?! 2 correct unidentified/lost media solves out of my probably hundreds of bad guesses isn't THAT bad of a track record, right?
Jam Sessions 2 for DS? There's next to no info on it that I can find, but it is a guitar-focused game and the amazon description lists Plain White T's as being a featured artist. It came out in 2009.

A quick google search and... that looks very similar but I'm not entirely sold. I mean how many rhythm games were there for DS to be fair but that just feels wrong for some reason. It's definitely not the first game in that series, but the second one could be it.

could it possibly be the first jam sessions game?
i will find a center in you, i will chew it up and leave i will work to elevate you, just enough to bring you down
There was also a game like this on the DSiWare store, made by Gameloft. It controlled in the same way you mentioned, though I can't really remember either of those songs being on the tracklist. Then again, it's been years.
yeah, I'm stupid - it was jam sessions 2 (also sorry for late response I forgot I made this thread)
