Hi all! In 2017 on tumblr two different music videos by the band Crosa Rosa were submitted to users through a hotmail account or anonymously. One of them called "Sweety" (epilepsy warning) is still up today but the other "Like a Lady" is off Youtube. I tried looking for reuploads on YT and other sites but can't find anything. The submissions themselves were Youtube links so I have a post with link itself. The song itself is not lost, just the music video.
The music video was controversial for being spammed to people but also for apparently being transphobic, I never actually watched it but some people did say it was.
Oh, I remember getting this in my Tumblr inbox! The thumbnail with the porcelain looking lady is very familiar to me. I never watched it unfortunately, I just deleted the submission because I didn't want to interact with what looked to be a spam bot. I'm not really surprised that this was scrubbed considering the backlash it got.
If I find anything related to it, I'll post here. Thanks for unearthing an obscure memory
Edit: Here's some stuff I was able to uncover regarding the band and this song. Wayback Machine didn't wanna archive those Instagram and Facebook links properly so they're in their raw form for right now.
Unfortunately, the earliest available archive for the Like a Lady music video is from this year and results in an error when trying to load the video. I was hoping there would be an older archive for it (especially considering how it blew up on Tumblr for all the wrong reasons) so, at the very least, the description would be visible and any filmography credits would be listed. Based off the interview, I would have to guess that this video was made private out of regret. The song and video were created as ways for the writer to cope with his girlfriend's illness, and instead of being seen as a coping mechanism, it was seen as spam and transmisogynistic.
The group is disbanded now according to their Facebook page. The page hasn't been active since their last post in 2019.
Wow, sorry for the late response everyone, I'm glad y'all are interested in this too! I managed to find it posted on Twitter but it's not the full thing. And the twitter that posted it has gone cold with one of the last posts saying "I'm going to make a new Twitter I can't handle some of this."
I would contact the band but as you said the band has broken up. From the facebook posts it looks like it was a messy one too. Gee (the twitter user) could be a possible contact but like I said they've also gone cold and the tweet was from 2016. They could possibly not even have the video saved anymore.
