Does anyone recall a technical difficulties screen that Nickelodeon would sometimes air throughout the '00s (possibly even the '90s)?
How I remember it: It was a still image of two smiling 3D-drawn egg-shaped people at two diagonal corners of the screen. I think one was male and one was female. One of them was holding either a wrench or a toolbox (it's possible one was holding a wrench and the other a toolbox). One or both of them may have been wearing a hardhat. Between them read the words, "STICK WITH NICK! WE'RE JUST FIXING A LITTLE PROBLEM."
I can remember three instances when this happened:
For the longest time, I've found no recording or mention of this error card, until a few days ago, when I discovered someone with the username AnArt1996 made a recreation of the card, claiming to have seen it during reruns of My Life as a Teenage Robot, and posted it to YouTube: www.youtube.com/watch?v=i9bGenTtia0&ab_channel=AnArt1996
This is also featured in the Lost Media Wiki.
While their visual recreation of the card is a different from what I remember (for example, I remember it had more of an orangish/greenish background and the characters looked more miniature), their description of it featuring "two oddly geometric figures" definitely matches up with my account of what it looked like.

A few others in the comments seem to recall this as well, with one user named SFS VHS sharing a detailed account:
These are the only leads that I can find about this error card's existence so far.
Going back to the Ned's Declassified lead, I would also like to point out that this was during a marathon called Ned's Day Off (if memory serves me right). The interstitials featured the cast of Ned's hanging out at an amusement park. One segment that stands out in my memory occurred either before the Ned's premiere or the SpongeBob premiere: Devon Werkheiser and Lindsey Shaw were ascending one of those "Tour of Doom" rides. Lindsey nervously had her eyes closed while Devon was calmly announcing the new episode; and before they went to the show, they showed their reactions as the ride dropped.
This is the only recording I can find of the event: www.youtube.com/watch?v=06TtYS97hCo&ab_channel=dwerkheiserfan
According to this article, it was filmed at Knott's Berry Farm.
Honestly, if anyone has any recordings from this marathon, that would be amazing, especially considering the show's renewed cult status.
And I'm 99% confident that if we find a recording of the Ned's episode premiere from that day that we will find the technical difficulties card.

I can remember three instances when this happened:
- Sometime around late 2001 or early 2002 after an early-morning airing of Bill Nye the Science Guy. It disappeared from the screen before I could process what it was (plus, I was still learning how to read at the time).
- Sometime in 2004 (I'm pretty sure) during a rerun of the Jimmy Neutron episode "Sorry, Wrong Era." The episode's playback kept distorting and I wasn't sure if it was an issue with my satellite provider until the message with the egg people suddenly appeared. This time, it appeared for a good minute or so, so I had more time to read what it said and study the visuals. I think the episode's audio may have still been playing.
- And finally, once during the premiere of the Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide episode "Guide to: Revenge" on January 15, 2007. I remember there was a glitch in which the episode suddenly went back to the beginning. There was a bit of static and the egg people message appeared for a split second. This was talked about on TV.com at the time; and while I can't find an archive of the forum reactions, I did find the page where it mentions the glitch if you scroll down to Notes: www.tv.com/shows/neds-declassified/revenge-school-records-586604/trivia/ (it may not always load since the site is dead). Since this was an episode premiere (and one coinciding with a SpongeBob premiere during a hyped-up MLK Day marathon), there's a good likelihood that someone has a recording of this.

Southern California; roughly 2004
There was a technical difficulty on this exact episode at this exact part years ago! I can't find anybody who's shared this experience so I made this replica of what I remember it looking like.
This lasted maybe around 30 minutes to an hour mid-day Saturday on the original channel. (I believe)
The image I remember were two oddly geometric figures. One large one with a hardhat and a toolbox on the left, and a smaller one on the right. I don't quite remember exactly what is said, but I do remember a big "WOOPS".
The nickelodeon logo kept fading in and out during the duration of the shutdown, as well as it going to black every other 10 or so minutes.
I personally remember being freaked out by it because the image had no sound and the lighting, plus the figures, looked poorly rendered.
I'd love to know and see the original image of this! If anybody can find it, please let me know!

I want to share an experience that’s very similar to this. On March 16, 2005, I was 6 years old and watching SpongeBob, “The Camping Episode” if my memory serves me correctly. This was between 6-8 PM CT. Anyway, I had a videotape recording in my bedroom, and after the episode went to commercial, a technical difficulty screen suddenly interrupted an Old Navy commercial. I recall it showing some odd-looking robot things that heavily resembled what’s in this video, saying “we are trying to fix the problem’ in text. The screen only lasted for maybe 30 seconds at most. I personally thought they looked like robots, and I actually have a drawing I made trying to mimic what I saw somewhere.
I specifically remember this taking place on the night of the 2005 TV Land Awards, because I can recall the promos from that evening. I looked it up and it was March 16, 2005, so this is presumably the night this took place. Sadly, the videotape this was on no longer exists, and to this day I have been trying my best to find what I saw again. This is the closest thing to it, though the screen I remember was darker in color. This is a lot like it, though.
If anyone ever comes across such footage, or anything from this time that resembles it, please let me know. Also, if I ever find that drawing I made of what I saw that night, I will share it somehow. Perhaps that could be a lead to finding footage of this at some point.
