Hi. I've kind of been lurking this place and right now I'd like to talk about something that's kind of eluded me for a while now. For those not in the know, "Every Witch Way" is a Nickelodeon show that's the English-language adaptation of a Spanish-language show that really took off for their Latin American division. Nothing really groundbreaking, but I found it interesting to see how things around it developed. Its first season was originally slated to have 40 half-hours before being cut to 20 half-hours. However, this happened after filming wrapped up in hopes of making those 40 half-hours. It was presumed that all that footage went unused... until an uncut version of the show began to air in countries like Russia, Italy, and Mexico.
So, I guess in a way, these uncut versions themselves aren't "lost" as foreign dubbed versions can be found, but the original audio definitely is as it has not resurfaced anywhere online. The cast has said before that they were disappointed that half of the work they did ended up never airing (in the US, at least), and maybe the missing scenes would help the story feel less messy. I hope others would be interested in this weird situation.
(BTW - After its unusual treatment, the show eventually got 3 other seasons. I've seen some fans believe that the other seasons got a similar treatment, but I believe otherwise as the following seasons had some freakishly fast turnaround times.)
