Hello! I'm back, and this time I have something actually tangible to provide unlike last time!
I have been hunting for the source of the image on the left for almost a decade. It's on a Korean Sega MyCard of the game "My Hero" (which, if you know me well enough, is a fairly significant game to me for a few reasons). Main reason I've been hunting it down? I mean, just look at it. It's so fucking weird and terrifying I need to know. I suspect it's stolen because of other Korean releases having suspicious and unfitting artwork on them as well + late 80's/90's South Korea isn't exactly known for their amazing adherence to copyright, WHICH BRINGS ME TO...
The right image is taken from a flyer for an arcade game called Deluxe 5 (link slightly NSFW?). Again, South Korean in origin, and has lots of stolen FM synth tunes from a developer who literally made a bootleg version of Tumble Pop but with anime girls as the backgrounds. I discovered the right pic only a few years ago and it instantly made me think of the My Hero label art, although they don't seem to be the exact artstyle looking closely, but it still made me wonder if they're connected.
I dunno if this exactly appropriate LMW hunt stuff, but I think since you guys like looking up weird obscure stuff, it may be a bit of fun to finally put my mind at rest about this. As a side note, I apologize for not following up on joining the Discord for the TeleToon Bumper video. I don't normally check this forum super often so I missed the invite when it was still active.
