Hello, i'm Patryk Kornatowski. so, there are 2 lost Old Spice games that i know of....
so, i decided to make this thread about them...
1. Old Spice: Muscle Music (released in 2012), This one did not have a seprate website. Instead, its on Vimeo.
Yes, this games shows Terry Crews (the semi-infamous Spokesperson for Old Spice adverts at the time) in a what it
seems to be a white room full of instruments attached to his body with some kind of hospital stickers i believe?,
and he plays some music and the user have to watch Terry do his job, then Terry tells the viewer to give it a try
and then he screams "DO IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT" while the instruments play for a few seconds and heres what it got... INTRESTING..
The player's pause button turns into a record button and the user had to make there own music video, so they can share it online for
all to see...
Strangly enough, the video for the game is still up however, but the interactive stuff is no longer working.
even the Wayback Machine does not load the video sadly.
The reason why it stopped being interactive is possibly because Vimeo was changing there servers i think??, yeah but my geuss is
that the special player might have been discontinued at this point... so yeah, just a cheap music maker.
and 2. Old Spice: Muscle Suprise (released in 2015), OMG. i remember this one...
So, this game starts with Terry Crews flying very fast across a bathroom. and yells that the Old Spice products makes a body
powerful (while a small chipmunk-voiced Terry Crews says "Powerfully"), then he says he uses Old Spice body spray on his chests
(which is actually Old Spice Refresh) and then he throws it to the floor and the bottle starts flying like crazy, then he says
that he uses Old Spice Bodywash (which is actually Old Spice Swagger) on the rest of his body, while doors on his body
open and close randomly and then he says his body is so powerful that it has secrets that no one realised before.
then game starts, its just a simple mini-game compilation type of thing. but, it had a seprate website unlike Muscle Music.
it was: www.musclesurprise.com, it was still up until 2016/17??, when it was removed and now redirects to the offical
Old Spice website where you can buy there products online. but whats sad is the game is made in Flash, which sadly died in 2020.
even the wayback machine has the message to tell players to get flash.
and thats it... hopefully Muscle Suprise (possibly Muscle Music) gets saved on Flashpoint some day. ^_^
Will they be ever found?, Terry Crews: "WHO KNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWS!!!!, PA PA PAA PAA PAA PA POWER!"
