I used to watch this VHS sing along tape that featured puppets and humans singing songs together, though I can't remember any details about the songs, other than I recall the songs being original, and not nursery rhymes or popular kids songs like Old McDonald and the like. It didn't have any plot that I can remember, but a framing device of a man reading a special sing along book to a puppet. It featured this man sitting on a couch in his house, and a puppet comes to visit him and to ask the man to show him the special book. I specifically recall the puppet knocking to come in, to which the man doesn't budge from the couch but instead replies "it's open," which I always found odd as a child because it seemed impolite not to greet someone at the front door. But the puppet and man come across as good friends who hang out often, so it's chill. The man shows the puppet the special sing along book, which then leads to the singalong segments. One segment showed a meek little puppet running away from home, complete with a bag tied to a stick over his shoulder, I think he's at the bus stop waiting for a bus or something, but a girl/woman comes across him and sings him a song that cheers him up and he decides not to run away. The puppet Gerbert always reminds me of the tiny little puppet boy in the segment, but I don't think it's Gerbert as I don't remember this being a Christian program in any way. I believe there was also a segment featuring a train in some way, which I think was the final segment, but I can't remember much else at all about the singalong segments themselves, but the man and puppet reading a book together has always stuck in my head.
