When I was a kid, my parents had me watching things they grew up with. Mainly children's shows from the UK. (A lot of this was Willow the Wisp, the Wombles, Paddington Bear sTuFF LiKe tHat.)
I've been trying to find a specific cartoon short from the early 1970's to mid 1980's. I remember it being in a similar style to the cartoon series Mr. Men (1974-1978). (I know that's pretty broad, sorry haha) I'm nearly 100% positive this was not from a show of it's own, more like a short or an amateur reel. It was in color, with audio.
(this is so weird- I'm sorry)
Basically, a doctor or scientist is in an exam room. I can't remember if you ever see his face, but I definitely recall his hands being the main focus. He puts on gloves, and we see that there's a patient with him. Then, (for some reason) the doctor opens the patients mouth, and sticks his hands down his throat. We see a perspective from inside the patients stomach, and it's revealed that there is an animal inside him. I think it was a dog. Then the doctor puts his hands in the dog's mouth, where there is a cat.
(old lady who swallowed a fly style)
I don't remember if it goes any father than that, but it probably does. I can recall the doctor eventually pulling these animals out of each other, like some weird Russian Nesting doll situation.
Is that enough information to find a really obscure video? Lmao I dunno hah- that's pretty much all I remember.
I was only four or five when I watched this, so I honestly don't know how "like" Mr. Men this was. To me as a child, it was pretty much the exact same style.
I know I keep referencing Mr. Men, but for a while, I thought this might have been be related to Mr. Men in some way, because I recall it playing between episodes. This might be how it originally aired, OR maybe my dad recorded it on the same tape (or something). (I don't know how helpful that is haha)
I never watched these shows on air, it was always something my parents had recorded and put on for me. I remember seeing this short specifically though, multiple times.
I've asked my parents, aunts, uncles, grandparents about this multiple times, and googled relentlessly with no luck, so here I am. (lmao )
Do you have any idea what I'm talking about?
Anything on this is totally appreciated!!
P.S.
I'm new to this, so if I was too vague I'm super sorry haha. This cartoon has been haunting me for a while now, though, I'm willing to do anything to figure out what it's from!!
