While browsing through illustrations of books designed by Sylvia I Venus (don't ask why), I came across this page. I don't know where it came from and searching the quote below didn't give me anything. It may be from an Enid Blyton book (considering she did illustrate many of her books), but I can't really say for sure.
Certainly looks like the kind of thing you'd find in an Enid Blyton book (what looks to be a magically alive kite, two children, a doll and a golliwog), but I can't find any mention of the name "Nesta" on the Enid Blyton Society site, which has summaries of many of her short stories. You could try asking on their forum: www.enidblytonsociety.co.uk/forums/ if anyone recognises the image.

Well, apparently my account has yet to be registered, as it gives me this message: "The specified username is currently inactive. If you have problems activating your account, please contact a board administrator." Maybe in a few days it'll work.
In the meantime, if anyone else here has an Enid Blyton Society account, please be sure to post this mysterious page and ask them about it there.
