This is my first post so please bear with me. I remember loving this cartoon in the late 90s/early 00s with a man trying to find a new treasure almost each episode to almost offer to a statue so the statue could come back to life. I don't remember much of it but I think the statue could have looked like an Egyptian mummy and it was either the adventures lover or potentially a g-d. I may be wrong on this part but everytime he brought a treasure back to the alter it needed to be at, part of nature was also restored and a part of the statue would start to look human. The show as a whole may have had an Egyptian theme to it but I really dont remember but I know it wasnt the cartoon for the movie The Mummy
what country did you watch it in? and maybe you can remember the name of the channel (or multiple versions)? are you sure it was a series, not a single episode? i checked the cartoons on imdb for the keywords "mummy", "egyptology", "statue" and "statue-comes-to-life", but i don't think i found anything like that.
It was in Canada/Toronto. I believe it was on Cartoon Network or YTV. I'm sure it was multiple episodes. It could have also been in a jungle/the desert. It was a great show and so upsetting I cant find it anywhere! Its the last show I loved as a kid I cant find any trace of! I love on social media when people post "who remembers these shows" type photos as I look for it but cant ever find it!
I remember they would bring the artifacts they found back to the shrine room to give back to the statues!
