i'm probably acting retarded, but i think there might be a clue in this
'Thirdly, Randy has released a new episode of the Lost Media Chronicles! This time he covers the infamous Max Headroom pirating incident (more specifically, the lost audio from the first broadcast). The opening monologue is brilliant (and yours truly gets name And finally today I wanted to quickly bring up something that has been brought to my attention by several people. Some users have proposed that the Shoutbox be replaced with a more typical Chatbox (preferably one that integrates better with the site - no more multiple logins, etc.) Now, let me just be clear that this is still early days, the Shoutbox is here to stay for some time yet (regardless of the outcome), though I do want to gauge opinion on this matter, so I have set up a straw poll for it; please take a minute to vote, we'd really appreciate it.'
like i said, i might be acting retarded it's just a hunch
Update Like i thought it was part of a link, to be specific a TinyURL link, mega.nz/#!CA4QTTyT!8r5PDIxJAEurD-gz2hIMic8BHLMGDMUTGFuOAZatAuA Then we found out the password was "delta"(thank you nodog) and it said "00100011 00100001 01001000 01011010 01011010 01000111 01000001 01000001 01010100 01001011 00100001 00110100 01000110 01100111 01010100 01010111 01101100 01000101 01000111 01001010 01010111 01010011 01010001 01101110 01110001 01010010 00110011 01101011 01100011 01110100 01101101 01001111 01100010 00110011 00110011 01011000 00110010 00110111 00110011 01110010 01010100 01100110 01110000 01100011 01010111 01001010 00110111 01000010 01110111 01001011 01100001 01100111 01010100 01000101

IT'S NOT A VIRUS BUT IT WILL FUCK WITH YOUR PC"
the binary brings you here mega.nz/#!HZZGAATK!4FgTWlEGJWSQnqR3kctmOb33X273rTfpcWJ7BwKagTE and it is the MC.exe Screamer, user "Tailsy" is running it in a WinXP VM as we speak to see if there was any modifications to the screamer, I'll update shortly.
Testing in a WinXP VM so far results that it's just the screamer in its entirety (sans the missing green text on black background). That may just be all it is, nothing more.
Have you tested it in Win2000 yet?
That I haven't actually done yet, since I figured that it's just the screamer and nothing more. I could still give it a shot though. However, I don't have a 2000 VM at the moment so it might take a while for any results to come up.
EDIT: Got around to testing it in a Win2000 VM and even tried looking through the contents of the .exe itself, and I think it's safe to say that it's pretty much an unmodified version of the program and that this whole thing was likely just an interesting way to show off a new piece of found media (even though i'm pretty sure it wasn't even lost in the first place).
dycaite posted this on the discord "congrats you solved it! to be clear, that is the end. this was just a mini-arg i threw together as a cool way to release mcdonalds.exe (which I was unable to find anywhere else online, i actually got it from the youtuber himself)(edited) hope you guys had fun, i certainly did and i think i will do something like this again in the future... maybe next time ill have a more high-profile piece of found media for yas "
