Rayman creator Michel Ancel has discovered a long-lost gem. The team had been working on Rayman for the Super Nintendo many years ago and it was effectively deemed lost. 24 years later and the EPROM has been discovered and is fully working. Ancel has published some photos on Instagram showing the ROM up and running and even jokes that he would love to see this on the Nintendo Switch.
There's no article on this on the Wiki, nor was it found by anyone here on the Wiki, but it is a piece of lost media that was just found, so it still counts.
Oh yeah, this definitely deserves an article on the Wiki! Maybe I'll get to it soon enough. (if someone else does it, no problem, I don't care about dibs!)
I still haven't finished the original Rayman game on Playstation... still can't find all the hidden cages!
(and I don't care about the recent post-Rabbid Rayman games, thank you very much)
inb4 intensely froths in rage on Mr Dark's Showdown. (but seriously that level was HARD.)
I've only read about those last levels when I visited a website in 1997... from what I remember, it seems it WAS hard. (controls reversed??)
Yeah, and......2 words. DARK. RAYMAN. raymanpc.com/wiki/script-en/images/a/a7/BadRayman.png Holy fuck, Dark Rayman. He'd follow Rayman's every move/input, and touching him would instantly kill you. And he spawns by a star, but you'd think jumping over it would be easy, but no, siree! You have to endure a absolute HELL and try not to touch the little fool, as the star is invisible and can be activated, no matter what you do! .....But there's one exception. In the almost godawful port that is Rayman Advance, the star is only just one ting, so you can jump over it. That is good.....but you'd have to deal with the smaller resolution, and ugly music! After you deal with the fool and he dies by going in the end, You have to deal with the final boss. And....oh dear. (note, i actually wrote this by sources because beating the game was nigh-impossible for me)
