When I was a kid (maybe around 8 or so?) I played this browser game about this blue clay person with stop-motion graphics.
The blue guy (who was kind of wearing this Indiana Jones style garb) walked around this ancient temple collecting bananas(?) to place under this big monkey statue at the temple's center. If you got them all, it would lead to your escape. I remember the ending scaring me, because said monkey statue would then come to life and roar at the camera with glowing red eyes.
The blue guy, if I recall correctly, looked something like this
It definitely wasn't something like "The Neverhood" or "Armikrog" it seemed lower budget than that.
I don't think so. I played it on the old girlsgogames.com website (long before it was overrun with bootleg Disney princess games). I don't think the game is on there anymore.
I remember a flash game of a blue guy that was wandering around a cliff and you had to click one of multiple paths for him to go, but I dont remember bananas neither a temple

I think the game I'm talking about was part of a series, so the maybe the game you're talking about is a sequel of some kind?
