The Big Show STILL hasn’t been uploaded yet… At least we know the ‘97 Big Show rests on a computer, fully digitized and waiting to be uploaded to YouTube (hopefully)
Can someone who’s been on this search since the start confirm that this is the full show?
I didn’t start the search, but I’m pretty sure this isn’t the full show. Hey, at least we found some of the songs.. for now. Hopefully they will upload the other songs that were missing…
Was this confirmed to be in the show? If so, do we consider this permanently lost, or is there still point in searching for it? We’ve already found the majority of the show, by the looks of things, so is there point in pushing for the remaining media?
This is in fact not the full show, but The Wiggles worked out to release what they could find, which we really appreciate them doing. It appears to be (from some split second audio that you can sort of hear in the upload) that they were only able to find clips of all the songs (except for We Like To Say Hello) from a different series that aired on the Disney Channel called "Let's Wiggle" which were just 1-2 minute song clips. So the upload consists of a compilation of the Let's Wiggle clips they were able to find that showed songs from The Wiggles Big Show. So it means that the song "We Like To Say Hello" is still missing a long with all the skits and introductions that took place between each song.
The first 8 seconds from this video confirm that We Like To Say Hello opened the show as you can see them performing it.
Additionally, 0:37-0:41 show some scenes that weren't in the Let's Wiggle clips, which is a combination of Greg counting down The Wiggles to wake up Jeff at the end of Rock-a-bye Your Bear, and Jeff waking up at the end of the last song, Wiggly Medley.
At the end of the day, while it's a shame that they couldn't find the whole show, they worked hard to locate all these clips and put them together for us. And we got to see songs that we had never seen before, and that we had no idea were even performed.
As far as being able to find the whole show goes, I think our next best hope might be if someone out there in Australia taped the full concert special when it aired on the Disney Channel on Sunday 17 September 2000!

I would personally like to keep trying to find a full airing of the show, because there seems to be a few other interesting things about it and nothing would beat being able to see how the full show ran continuously.
For example there's a unicycle on stage for the last few songs which would have been involved in a song intro somehow. And during one of the songs (Romp Bomp A Stomp) there's what looks like a big red curtain lying flat on the stage that was potentially used for some kind of magic trick which would be extremely interesting to see.

Do we know if this aired in New Zealand as well? I’ve talked to a friend there who says their family definitely has old Wiggles tapes, and would be willing to look through the collection to see if they have it.
I'm not sure if they would have aired it that late, but you never know and I certainly wouldn't discount that opportunity. At the moment the only confirmed airing is Disney Channel Australia in 2000. We probably would have already found it if it ever aired on Disney Channel in the US or even Channel 7 in Australia. But New Zealand, I'm not sure. It's definitely possible!

Bumping this, as it's been a while. At the moment, we are looking for anyone in Aussie who's taped the full Wiggles Big Show on Disney Channel, Sunday 17 Sept 2000.
My theory is that they accidentally used the let's wiggle segments instead of the Big Show special. I think they could still have the special or someone else who ended up recording it.
