I loved this stupid series as a kid, and I refuse to be embarrassed for finding that I still love it upon re-watching the episodes now - those that aren't lost that is.
There's 7 episodes out there, leaving 6 still missing. I've noticed that a couple of the 7 have little pieces missing at the ends, too. I've searched high and low, requested it 100x on Disney+ since it came to be, and contacted the channels that used to run it to see if they ever would again or would put it on their websites or on demand services. I got the standard "we can't say, but great idea, we'll pass it on" response.
It's probably a long shot, but thought I'd post it here in case anyone has it / knows where to find it.
I remember watching this and Teen Angel with my sister as a kid and finding them funny. For the longest time I thought I dreamt them up they both came and went so quickly... I like Teen Angel more but good to see some love for these forgotten shows.
For a moment when I read the title of this forum thread, I almost thought that you were actually referring to the 2003 Disney Channel Original TV movie called You Wish! (with an exclamation mark at the end of the title), which, unlike this show, has been made available to stream on Disney+ since its launch date on November 12th, 2019. Though obviously, both the TV show/TV movie have nothing in common other than sharing a similar title.
Though I have never seen the 1997 You Wish TV series, I hope that it will someday be added to the service in the future, since it was a TV show produced by and aired on ABC and which Disney has owned since 1996.
Despite the frustrations of normal day life we go through, the best thing to do about it is still being happy for our friends and family.

Yeah, I forgot them both for a while and when I started remembering them again a few years ago I thought I must have been mixing bits of plots from different shows/movies together or something, because a teenager eating an old hamburger, dying, and becoming his best friend's guardian angel while being supervised by a floating head in the sky... would be crazy. lol. I was so happy that when I remembered them again I was able to find all of Teen Angel online (thoughvery low quality). Here's hoping they both become widely available one day!

Haha, definitely know of that movie & it's availability. I grew up on Disney & DCOMs after all.
Yes, I hope so too. Especially considering one of the lost episodes was part of a crossover with three other shows (Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Boy Meets World, and Teen Angel), and those three episodes are still out there. Would love to be able to watch the whole crossover together.
this probably has to do with it being cancelled early, with only 7/12 episodes being originally aired. the network also allegedly just broadcasted episodes in whatever order they felt like, so the episodes there, despite their numbers, are probably the "first 7".
the last 5 episodes were apparently aired through may and june 1998 in a different timeslot, with presumably little to no advertising for them. i wouldnt put it past them to be lurking somewhere out there.
I just randomly decided to do another quick search around the internet for any You Wish episodes, and found that someone had uploaded the entire TGIF Time Warp crossover, and just a day after I made my original post last year! Wow.
The episodes are: Sabrina the Teenage Witch - "Inna Gadda Sabrina" (Season 2, Episode 8) Boy Meets World - "No Guts, No Cory" (Season 5, Episode 6) You Wish - "Genie Without a Cause" (Season 1, Episode 7) Teen Angel - "One Dog Night" (Season 1, Episode 7)
Only the You Wish episode has been missing, while both the You Wish and Teen Angel episodes have never been released or uploaded anywhere in better quality (Sabrina the Teenage Witch and Boy Meets World are both on DVD and streaming).
While they are arguably the worst episodes of any of these series' (), I couldn't be happier that another episode of You Wish has been found (5 more to go!). Also amazing to see the original bumpers and stuff.

Perhaps you’ve heard of the thread searching for the early 2000s series State Of Grace?
* It was created by Stan Rogow Productions; (which would also create Lizzie McGuire for Disney Channel, and Flight 29 Down for Discovery Kids), produced during the early years of ABC Family (aired during the 2002-2006 era of the channel)

Speaking of "State Of Grace," have the other missing episodes surfaced yet?

Yep. Seems most if not all episodes have been uploaded!
