I know this is mainstream shit, but like two weeks ago I was obsessed with "The Impression That I Get"; that chorus could save the fucking world.

I guess it depends on your flavor of music.
But if you're a meathead, I'd recommend looking at the soundtracks for the Traces of Death films; which is how I ended up falling for Dreadful Shadows and End of Green. For more "lesser known" artists, Arctic Spirits (Greenland), and VHS (Canada) are a blast.

If original music for an internet review series counts as a recommendation, then I would nominate Allison Pregler's new and improved opening introduction to her web series, Movie Nights, first used on her review of Superman III.
The new intro for her web series just hits the 1980s and 1990s nostalgia with great visual effects reminiscent of an old VHS tape (along with showing clips from previous episodes), and a more jazzy and upbeat background soundtrack that will make you want to get up and dance.
Despite the frustrations of normal day life we go through, the best thing to do about it is still being happy for our friends and family.
