"The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald" by Gordon Lightfoot is just so amazingly epic and tragically sad about the real sinking of the titular cargo ship and the unfortunate 29 men who lost their lives on the ship.
Despite the frustrations of normal day life we go through, the best thing to do about it is still being happy for our friends and family.
What about The Main Drag? It's an indie pop/rock band that sound relaxing in my opinion. Too bad they only released three albums. Also, I would recommend the original versions of the songs Elvis covered: "Suspicious Minds" by Mark James and "Burning Love" by Arthur Alexander are pretty good.
In light of my recent vacation to Florida tomorrow to see my grandparents there, I just wanted to give one more recommendation of music before I leave for it, and it would be "Good Time" by Owl City and Carly Rae Jepson. I want this post to be some sort of farewell until I get back home from vacation and I'll always remember to have a good time while I'm there. So see you later LMW, for now.

I'll choose: "Gorillaz" for their very fluent style in music (they have everything from hip-hop to alternative rock) and for the cool artstyle and the backstory of the band members "MELOVIN" (an obscure Ukrainian electropop singer which competed on Eurovision 2018) for his personality and his really catchy, but meaningful music; don't reccomend if you don't like teen stars very much "Queen" for their awesome vocalist, Freddy Mercury, and for their great impact of rock music in general "GHOST" (Vocaloid producer) for her sophisticated, yet edgy style of lyrics and for her breathraking production of musical videos; she does some funny stuff too "Lana del Rey" for her sorrow, yet beautiful love songs and for her fashion style "David Bowie", "Elvis Presley" and "Michael Jackson" for their unique appearance and for their awesome evergreen songs "Psihomodo Pop" (a Croatian old school rock band) for their slightly immature but fun songs and for the their charismatic leader Davor Gobac

Don't believe in stereotypes that it is a cringe gay festival full of unforgettable and plagiarated music. Nowadays it's actually trying to be proffesional, even though jury votes are still stupid. Enjoy and tell me what you think.
If you want a good cover of an popular 1980's pop song, look no further than Weezer's cover of Toto's 1982 smash hit "Africa". It almost sounds like it can fit the end credits of a movie.

Hey, cool stuff! Try checking out some of these sometime: Phew - Phew (1981) - This one is some neat Japanese new wavey stuff, notably it has several founding members of Can on various instruments. Promyshlennaya Arkhitektura - Ljubov i Tekhnonogija (1988) - Freezing cold post-punk with minimal synth influences from the Soviet Union... The last track is especially cathartic and haunting given that the man who wrote and performed the majority of this material killed himself very soon after recording. Low - I Could Live in Hope (1994) - Tense, slow, sad, and depressing. This is the record that is responsible for the term "Slowcore" being coined. This one's a favorite of mine.
I met a cool guy from Manchester England who makes music! Indie artist he also makes comics and stuff like that (like I do lol) so we became friends check out his song! It's pretty fun lol youtu.be/d72-kf80tzo
Resurrecting this thread with another music recommendation from me.
The main theme of the home console version of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban by Jeremy Soule is so memorably catchy and horrifying at the same time (which matches the series' descent into its darker subject matter about conquering fear and fate).
