I was like 10 years old so Idk where she got it and if she did tell me where she got it I couldn't possibly remember by now. it sucks because the cartridge was lost when her house burned down a few years back.
Really old thread. But i have got some new information. The level which we will now call "Starry Night skies" had about seven stars you could collect. I was able to get this information from others who claimed to have seen the level. The crazy thing was that most of the folks who were interviewed had no previous contact with each-other and yet they shared a lot of the same details. This is getting really interesting. The missions so far are known as:
STORK OF THE STARRY NIGHT ABANDON SHIP IN THE SEA OF STARS THE WISHING STAR WELL RED COINS AMONG THE STARS THE ETERNAL NIGHT STAR Unknown 100 COIN STAR (presumably)
Stork of the Starry Night Stork of the Starry Night is the first mission of the Starry-Night Skies level and is very similar to the first mission in Shifting Sand Land. The goal is to get the star from Stork. Unlike Klepto, the Stork does not try to steal Mario's cap, but it will try to race Mario to the Power Star to reclaim it.
Abandon Ship in the Sea of Stars The second mission of Starry Night Skies. The player must find a flying ship, near the edge of the map. Unlike other boats, the abandoned ship is infested with Boos. The player must defeat all boos to reveal a Big Boo, and beat the Big Boo to claim the power star.
The Wishing Star Well Unlike other missions in the game, the Wishing Star Well requires that the player collect coins throughout the level to give to the Star Well. The player needs a total of 75 coins in order to get the star from the well.
Red Coins Among the Stars In this mission, the player must collect eight red coins scattered about the course. The sheer size of the stage combined with the sparseness of the red coins makes this one of the more time-consuming red coin missions in the game. The star spawns at the highest point in the stage.
The Eternal Night Star It is unknown if this mission is unfinished or just really hard to figure out. The level starts with a message, telling the player that there is a secret they must find. This is the message.
"Did you know that there is a secret among the night skies? A precious and beautiful secret. A secret that I cannot forever keep. Keep your spirits high and look forward to the dreamy sky.. Here is a hint.
'Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, for in the dark night sky of beautiful gems, the Eternal Star forever lies.'
All signposts messages in this stage are also replaced with a slightly altered variant of this message. It is unclear what the player is supposed to do or where the player is supposed to look. The music also changes to a more somber tone. The star has yet to be found.
Also there are more details descriptions then the one my friend gave me, some descriptions varied but the geography is almost identical. Some of what i have posted here was from a theory site with some details corrected for accuracy.

I believe you. But unfortunately, the other members prefer to see this as false. It feels very real and there are no contradictions, and i know a hoax when i see one. So i will try getting more information from you. I am a member of the discord server for the cutting room floor, they are pros so i can ask them about this. I promise to help!
So,uh... i guess this is the end of my post. Bu-but there is more, right?
The level had a strong echo sound in early versions of the game much like in the final bowser level and hazy maze cave in early versions of the level. It is possibly listed as Stage 32: EXT 5 on the Super Mario 64 level select screen though it could have possibly been in one of the 1-3 stages

The memebers keep telling me i fell for a trick... i know for a fact that it is real. Sorry about not managing to get something new for you. But this is not the end, i will keep trying.

My next step is going to the Lost Media Wiki server. I believe that they will be much more open about this. Edit: Not going to the server yet. i will just look into this on google for the time being.

Lookie Lookie! i got hookie! I found an article on the MIPS hole site, which is for documenting SM64 secrets. There are 3 comments who seem to have experienced this level once! check it out: sm64-conspiracies.fandom.com/wiki/The_Starry-Night_Skies

This is further proof that this is vary real. I winder if it's some sort of hard-coded event that only occurs after a curtain number of hours of playing???
WHat we need to do is find some sort of hack so that it makes it so we can go through walls. or perhaps be able to find it in the coding prehaps based on either time or gameplay
The reason the star is broken in Mario party is because it is further referencing the broken windmill that the young boy had broken by playing the song of Storms.
