For those who don’t know
Molly Hatchet is a band, a rather old one with the height of their popularity being in the 1970s
I recall in 2006 going to their website before they changed it to a thunder theme and the current one.
In 2006 their website had a selection of 3-4 songs that would play (you could also choose) one was titled “(something) Lullaby “ and the one im absolutely looking for is their rerecord of their greatest hit “flirtin with disaster “. Around 2008-2010 the website went through a redesign and the rerecording of flirtin was replaced with another re-record with thunder sounds and a new singer (sounded awful)
Any help finding the 2006 (which was shorter than the original 70s version i think) would be awesome!
I checked the Spotify version of the album and its the same as the original just everything sounds cleaner. It seems their youtube only uploads the same 3 versions a billion times as well: the original, the live, and the thunder 2008 website rerecord without the sound effects (thunder, rain)
The 2006 website version seems completely gone as does Stephanies Lullaby

Have you tried wayback machine? It's a longshot but you might be able to access it.

I tried most of the links from 2004 to early 2007. Interesting that it had a ton of redesigns saved, there was a download page at one point but the links are dead. It loads a list of songs says to click “mp3” beside the track to download and when it is clicked loads to a page saying wayback doesnt have it archived.

Yeah I had a feeling but thought it was worth a shot. What about some fansites from around that time? You'd be surprised what fansites have archived.

The story behind Molly Hatchet's name is another fascinating one. Were they real? ANYWAY, I decided to do some looking on the wayback machine. I went through their official site from 2005 to 2007, and couldn't seem to find anything except for mp3's from the re-recorded greatest hits that was mentioned above from 2005. You already mentioned that you found that, though.
I also noticed that during that time period (and before) they had a nice memorial section for Stephanie Ingram, among others. Of course that was the wife of the lead guitarist. It's safe to say that "Stephanie's Lullaby" was about her, or maybe she even had something to do with it? Perhaps something she helped write before she passed? Maybe just a song about her? Who knows. I even decided to check out a bunch of fan sites from the time period, but I couldn't find any trace of the song. Maybe I'm not looking hard enough. I feel like it's going to be right under our nose. I'll keep looking. Here's the link to the site from 2006, just in case anyone wanted to check it out.

Thats what I was thinking, stephanies lullaby was a dedication to her. I remember i listened to it twice, it was a sad song.
As for the song media player, it was on the bottom right of the website and looked like a pager with the name of the song scrolling and the rerecord of flirting with disaster and Stephanies lullaby were embedded into the player and could not be downloaded. The only way to get the songs would be to extract them from the html or if you were one of the few people who knew how to do it at the time, record it while it was playing via stereo mix on audacity.
Neither the Website rerecord nor stephanies lullaby are mentioned on ANY of their records nor song Lists.
That’s something i hated about band websites back then. Theyd make rerecords and songs specifically for their websites and never release them elsewhere so once they update their site the history and original material is gone
I realized i havent given much detail on the website rerecord of flirtin with disaster.
First of all everything was different except the tune. Different singer (at least from what I could tell, less southern sounding than the original guy, more defined voice, easier to understand)
and their lineup of drums, bass, and guitarists at the time. Skip to 0:15 of the original recording (heres a link)
That elongated high pitched tone was way shorter in the website rerecord, about 4 seconds shorter
Heres the “thunder/rain” sound effects version ( without the sounds) I mentioned they replaced the 2005/2006 website rerecord with in 2007 youtu.be/lL9uWZHUHPs
As for the Live recordings I mentioned you can find 3 on youtube. Its none of those so that’s 5 versions that are crossed out.
"What has happened, and what is so ironic, is that when we finished pre-production on "Warriors", I came through the door at 3 in the morning and put on the pre-production tapes. She actually heard the song "Rainbow Bridge" before the lyrics were written. Little did both of us know that that was the track that was going to be dedicated to her after her death, as this whole album and whole tour is dedicated to her honor. I guess the reflection on the music has made us tougher. This is a very emotional record that the band has put out. It's a very true to life album. It's really gotten to the point that when we play these songs on stage, the meaning comes across so strongly. You can see the people in the crowd, you can see it in their eyes. That's something I haven't experienced in a long, long time. The crowd knows what's happened. They know she isn't with us anymore, physically. But she's on stage with us every night, she's in the hearts of a lot of people."
Nope. I remember on the website media player a song named “Stephanie’s Lullaby “ Its one of those “if I heard it Id know it was it” type of situations but I salute you for finding a related song to her. Keep up the good detective work friend

No problem. Hope we can find it for you! Have you tried getting in touch with the band?
