McDonald's DS training game

So how did the ID system work for new employees I wonder? Did it run off of NWC and access a database which updates with new employees's IDs? If so, that's actually pretty interesting.

Either way, I'm not sure if a DS decompiler is around yet (wasn't last time I looked), but if the ROM is dumped I'm sure people who have enough time could modify the game to bypass the ID requirement.

Why is it illegal? Does Nintendo and/or McDonald's still has the rights of the game? (I doubt it, cuz it was released on 2010 and the DS is discontinued as of today, and I wonder it will play on the 3DS)
And was the password for the game?

I did a web-search via duckduckgo for “マクドナルド eCrew Development Program” and found a yahoo Japan question about it: detail.chiebukuro.yahoo.co.jp/qa/question_detail/q13194281938

The person asking the question just got a part-time job at McDonald’s and is asking about if it’s okay for them to cut out the page or if they should make a copy of the consent form that they received and signed before turning it back into McDonald’s. The responder with the best answer (aaaaaa-san) responds that they just cut the consent form out of the book and submitted it to McDonalds. The last part of this response translates to: “You should also get one book per person, so the CDP is yours.”

Apparently the form is in an employee handbook called “Crew Development Program” or “CDP” I could be wrong but I assume that this book would have passwords for the training game.

I just noticed on that auction for the game that whoever is selling it Somehow got passed the Password and ID screen and is showing off sections of the game on the pictures of the listing. maybe we should try and contact whoever listed that auction because they might know something

The listing even started at 400000 yen. Still not sure why it's so high, nobody has bid.

Menu Screen:
-Enter Password
-Change Password
-Enter Serial Number

Upon clicking on enter serial number:
“Please enter Crew ID or Employee Number”

Upon entering a wrong ID/Employee Number:
“Please enter the 6 digit password which you defined yourself”

Upon another false number insertion:
“The entered contents are either wrong or overlapping. Please input the correct information”
