Hey y'all! I'm super new here, but I've been following this case for a bit. I've been thinking a lot about this lead. Has anyone tried reaching out to anyone involved in this article? Is there a way to reach Angela Francis? I feel like that would be a good way to validate the authenticity of the original clips and possibly get more information. The images on Ella Flowers' screen are very reminiscent of the style featured in PMC.

PMC has been basically confirmed to be Kid's Club. Ella's daughter was emailed, asking her about kids club and sending her the videos (PMC and ECUS). She responded saying
"Yes that was my mom do you know of any others?
This is wonderful!"
It seems to me that she does not have any recordings of the show, but at least its identity has been confirmed.
Edit: The show was actually called "The TV 8 Kids Fun Fest. The amount of episodes is unknown

That's awesome! It's great to finally have confirmation that PMC is in fact real. Also wow, the show is probably mostly lost then.
It's extremely surpising how this turned out to be real. Not so much because of the video itself, while they're odd and those oddities were things that suggested it was fake, but most of the doubts I had were because of the how little sense it made with things like the video quality changes, 2 uploads, the fade in/out, the timing differences etc. I admit I was wrong with my assumption of it being fake, but my reasons for doing so were still valid. Even if we find this there's still no explanation for those!

I still think the fades were indicative of how YouTube videos were presented around 2009ish, I still find old lyric videos that used super dated windows movie maker effects to introduce the video even though it was super unnecessary. The video discrepancies I still can't explain, but they did say they used to remix videos so maybe that was it, or maybe it aired like that who knows.
Still, pretty neat that it not only turned out to be real, but that this search unearthed someone's work that would have been long forgotten otherwise.

It's not the presence of fades that's the odd thing, it's that Jenkem apparently said he didn't edit the video, and then when questioned about the fades, said he did add those - so he edited the video. Just was a bit of a suspicious thing to do/say.

I'm not an expert on video editing, VHS tapes, etc. but I do have a theory that could explain the differences.
If you take a look at the "? ? ? ? ?" video at around the 54 second mark, the video stream stops, but the audio continues playing. This, along with the bits of lag present during the "multi-screen" part of the video, make me think that the video file for the first upload was corrupted in some way. Corrupted video files can act very strange during playback, such as parts of the video being pixelated, or freezing for a period of time, or audio and video becoming out of sync, etc. It could also have something to do with the method used to capture the tape itself.
I feel that if this is the case, this would explain why there are two uploads and why the quality is better in the second one - to have a better version uploaded. The second one is in better quality, longer, and the video stream ends at the same time the audio stream does.
As for the fades, we already know how they got there. In fact, Windows Movie Maker may also have caused the corruption issues in the first video that I mentioned previously. I started to use a Windows Vista machine back in 2008 and I used Windows Movie Maker a lot back then. I remember having a lot of issues with exporting videos, and had to export videos multiple times or restart the computer in order to fix it because it kept exporting videos that had strange issues such as (I think) black video or weird pixelation corruption.
Anyway, these are just my thoughts on the discrepancies.
