To be fair, the conclusion was emotional as hell. Or at least it was for me. Knowing that the daughter got to see at least a tidbit of her late mother's work due to the efforts of the community, was enough for me.

I got into lost media because a lot of things I had growing up became lost media. Childhood videos, photos, my grandma's recipe book...it's a connection to our past that just bridges the gap into the present. Especially as an artist I was touched. Sometimes you make work and then nothing comes of it. Nobody cares, and it's very isolating. But then all of a sudden, a whole community is trying to find your late mother's animations, and that's amazing.

Van Gogh didn't just die and become famous afterwards. His sister in law and nephew collected all of his work and went on tours with it. They showcased it to the public, and it turns out the public loved it. Media takes on a life beyond us, and there was a moment where we all connected with Ella and her work. Wouldn't trade that feeling for the world.
