Hello! I'm new here, I made an account primarily to ask about one piece of lost media I'm interested in, the JONAS soundtrack. This refers specifically to season 1 of the show, as season 2, JONAS LA, did get an official OST release.
It remains unreleased, despite the fact that Disney promoted JONAS, and its songs, as recently as this year. Wikipedia has a full track listing, complete with the length of the full versions of each song. The album also even has cover art so I theorize it must have been complete, or near completion. Not to mention, it seems odd that a musical-themed series wouldn't have a full soundtrack ready somewhere.
I feel the album must exist somewhere, as not only is the information I've found so far quite specific, but several of the songs have been released ("Give Love a Try", "Tell Me Why", "Work it Out", "Time is on Our Side", "Keep it Real", "Love Sick" and "Live to Party"). However, this leaves 7 songs (half of the album) still unaccounted for, including two covers not heard at all on the show or in any form ("Love Me Do", "Rock and Roll All Nite"). Yet, with the length of the songs being listed, these songs most likely must be completed in full and simply missing.
Any way I could get a lead on these missing songs? I would especially love to hear a full version of "Scandinavia" yet my searches so far have been fruitless.
Welcome, @giveloveatry. Since your source is a Wikipedia page, maybe you'd like to verify from the edit history page who added the information about the album. Whoever did so may have a copy on hand or may point you to the right direction.
Alternatively, this may be an Astrology With Squidward situation, with the information simply unreliable and most likely invented.
I did some digging on the wikipedia article and I managed to track down the exact edit where this information (the song lengths) originated. However the user who made this edit seems to be permanently banned, so I'm unsure if I should take the information with a grain of salt. Yet, the presence of a track listing sans the timestamps beforehand and the cover art still leads me to leave it may be out there somewhere. Later I might search to find where those came from, if it's possible, but so far I've been google searching for any official news/announcements regarding the soundtrack circa 2009 and 2010 and I'm going cold.

I was able to find a playlist on Youtube that includes 12 of 14 tracks mentioned in the Wikipedia article. It has "Give Love a Try"(Nick), "Pizza Girl", "Keep it Real", "Work it Out", "Tell Me Why", "Blue Danube", "I Did it All Again", "Give Love A Try" (Nick + Bridget), "Love Sick", "The Time is on Our Side", "Scandaniana", and "Live to Party".
Thanks for the help. So far glancing through the playlist, most of these seem to be ripped directly from the show rather than to be from any official release and therefore aren't the full versions of the songs. It varies from song to song, though. The full version of "Live to Party" that was released is on this playlist along with "Tell me Why", "Keep it Real" and "Pizza Girl", yet no full version of "Scandinavia" or some of the others have been found. The inconsistency is that some of these songs have full versions released that I can find (LtP, GLaT, TmW, WiO, LS, TiooS) while others do not, which might hint at full versions existing in an unreleased form for the other tracks. These missing full versions are primarily what I'm looking for. Some, like Blue Danube, may not have been made any longer than they were in the show and were just one-scene jingles, yet I find it more likely that a full version of Scandinavia exists due to that being one of the band members' solo songs, and the two missing covers are what really confuse me as I can't find a hint of them anywhere, in short versions or otherwise. As well, Give Love a Try (Nick/Bridget) is only a 30 second clip, leaving the rest of this version of the song missing, if a full version exists.
The edit with the full track listing with song lengths was made by user Stephanie J. Stone on January 3, 2013. When I shift one edit backwards, the song lengths are gone, but the tracks still remain along with the note that it is unclear if Love Me Do and Rock and Roll All Nite were ever recorded. Also of note is that the 2013 edit adds a Joe Jonas solo version of Give Love a Try. This would line up with one episode including a Joe version, unlike the other episodes that all featured a Nick version, but I'm unsure if this version getting a full release is just a rumor.
Going back a few years, an earlier version of the wikipedia article cites a blogspot post for the announcement of the season 1 soundtrack release. (This link is to the exact date when the edit was made). However even predating that, this edit states a release date of July 19 2010, with no source. This is the first edit that says the release has been confirmed for sometime in 2010 and it adds mention of the two bonus tracks, listed as TBA. This is the first version of the article that references a soundtrack.
Additional edit: While I was looking for more info I found this wiki article which basically lists which songs are lost and which are found. This adds an additional song, "Ghosts", but this is most likely false info since I can't find anything on it and no such song was in the show. It does have the cover art though, which I can't seem to find an origin for, although I see it circulating everywhere.

THE LINK MAY ALSO JUST HAVE THE VERSIONS OF THE SONGS THAT ARE IN THE TELEVISION SHOW SINCE THE YOUTUBE VIDEO THAT HAD THE DOWNLOAD IN THE DESCRIPTION MAY BE THE TELEVISION VERSION OF "I Did it All Again". The wiki that had "Ghosts" should be taken with a grain of salt. The Lost Media Archive and The Lost Media Wiki have a complicated history.
I think that "Love Me Do" and "Rock and Roll All Nite" are just rumors and I doubt that they were actually made.

Thanks for the further searching. I downloaded the file, which thankfully has no malware, but it is just the tv rips as I suspected. As well the full version of Scandinavia that you linked is actually an edited rip of the acoustic version of the show. The show actually has two versions, a short and more upbeat version, and a slower acoustic version with some dialogue in the middle, which that rip cut out. So, technically both versions of Scandinavia can only be found in tv rips and in no official capacity so far. :/ I still hope a full version exists somewhere over at Disney like with the other songs although it may be unlikely.
Also of note, this file you gave me has a different cover art than the one I had previously found, but I'm unsure if this is just a convincing fan edit, or if the other one is for that matter.
Guess I have no choice but to cross off the two bonus covers as not being recorded for now, although I'm unsure why they're still on the Wikipedia article if that's the case. Maybe no one bothered to look into it until now?

I don't understand why the season one soundtrack is lost. It doesn't make sense! The Jonas Brothers were pretty popular around the time JONAS aired and Disney would have made a profit if they release a season one soundtrack.
I decided that I am going to reverse image search the supposed cover. I found the following results.
I also compared the image to other shows and they did look similar, but I noticed something. At the bottom of the image, it says "Soundtrack to the Disney Channel Original Series", but instead of spelling "original" the correct way, it was spelled "orignal". I doubt that Disney would make that bad a typo, so I think it is safe to say that the image is fan-made. I don't know if that debunks there ever being a soundtrack, but there is a possibility of it simply never being made. That doesn't mean that songs such as Scandinavia don't have full versions, it might just mean they were never released to the public. I guess we can ask the Jonas Brothers (which I highly doubt they would ever respond), John Fields (the producer), or Disney.
giveloveatry, can you post that fan image you found on the download to the forum or at least describe it? It would help.
Tvstation, I don't understand why the season 1 soundtrack is lost either - I just consider it to be too odd of a move to not release it considering how much money it would've made Disney. The fact that they released season 2's soundtrack just makes it inconsistent as if they intended to release a soundtrack but didn't at the last second. It's a musical series and every other Disney channel musical series seems to get the soundtrack treatment. It's strangely not in Disney's character. Surely they must have the songs in storage somewhere or something, even if an official soundtrack wasn't made or released?
In their documentary the Jonas Brothers said they weren't proud of the show so I doubt they'd want to talk about it, or at least it would be difficult, not to mention even getting a response from them is practically impossible. But perhaps the producer you mentioned would know? As for Disney, I have no idea how it'd be possible to get the attention of anyone in a company that large, but you never know I suppose.
Attached is the cover that came with the download.
Quick Edit: I gave John Fields' website a look and noticed that an unreleased Big Time Rush song from their show is also on his production list - their cover of "Dance Dance Dance", only used in one scene. Not directly related, but also interesting since I'm a fan of both bands. He has his email listed on his site but I have no idea if it's strictly for business inquiries or not so I'm unsure if I should email him, or what I'd say if I did.
Second Edit: I re-examined the credits over the last scenes of a couple of JONAS episodes but didn't see John Fields' name because only one song from the show is listed on his website and it's from season 2. Meanwhile, Wikipedia says he produced the JONAS LA soundtrack, and if this were true his producing the first season's music would be more likely. The closest thing to a confirmation I can find is that the Lines, Vines and Trying Times booklet credits John Fields as the producer, and Keep it Real from the show was a bonus track on that album. Can you confirm/is it officially confirmed that he actually worked on the show? The closest thing I can find in the credits is Production Sound Mixer - listed in the episode I checked as Eric Pierce but I'm unsure if it varies by episode, or if that person would even have anything to do with music. Otherwise the episodes only show who wrote and performed the songs. A score composer is credited but I assumed this applies strictly to the background music and not the actual musical numbers.

In the current Wikipedia article, it says that John Fields was the producer for the first season soundtrack. I do not know if that claim is really true, since Wikipedia is one of those anyone can edit sites, but John Fields was the producer of "Jonas Brothers", A Little Bit Longer", "Lines, Vines, and Trying Times", and Jonas L.A., so it may be safe to assume that John Fields was the producer of "Jonas".
I was able to find another supposed cover:
I found this on genius. It only lists 9 songs and states that "the soundtrack was never officially released."
I also found this on a 2009 album covers blog. It says that it is the "official album cover", but if you look around the other pages of the blog, you can find other album covers that are fan-made. I will just give him the benefit of the doubt.
I found some twitter profiles that have this cover, Francisca Jones and ana alba valencia. Francisca Jones' first post says "El mundo no comprende a las divas...! necesito el album Jonas!!" which translates to "The world does not understand the divas ...! I need the Jonas album !!". Ana alba valencia has nothing of interest.
I then reversed image searched the image you gave, and found nothing of interest.
I might have found a big lead. I looked back through that Daydreamdtars blog and they still post. I guess what we have to do is contact them and see where they got this information. daydreamstars.blogspot.com/p/contact-me.html. They also have a twitter. twitter.com/DaydreamStars. in their twitter bio, they state that they are "A collection of news and articles based on a certain group or personality of today's Entertainment business." I also found their Facebook page. www.facebook.com/DaydreamStars. I think that they may be a reputable source.
Nice work you've done there. I haven't even seen that third cover which only further intrigues me. Let me know if you try contacting that blog and if you get a response. We could also attempt to reach John Fields if you think he'd have a lead for us.
Edit: The blogspot about page says the following: "It a blogsite wherein updates from your favorite Stars are filtered from different online sources." does this imply that the posts are automatic? If so I question if someone would still be running the site as the facebook and twitter pages for daydream stars haven't updated in years, not to mention blogspot isn't a very common site these days.
Second Edit: I tweeted at John Fields to confirm if he worked on it and he said he did! He said he worked on Pizza Girl and "lots of others" so I'm going to follow up and ask him which ones and if he knows anything else.
Third Edit: This one's great! He replied again saying he did Scandanavia and he'll "check his files" when he gets back home. He also said "it was never intended to be a record". I tweeted at him one more time thanking him and asking him if the 2 covers are false information.
Fifth Edit: Updated the Wikipedia article, citing his tweet saying it was never intended to be a record. I also removed the two covers from the track listing for now as a result of his tweet - so far I haven't found a single source confirming those covers so this practically confirms they didn't exist, unless proven otherwise.

Great Job! We now have confirmation that the JONAS season one soundtrack doesn't exist. Now, I would like to know where DayDreamStars got this information of a supposed "season one soundtrack" releasing because, in the article where they announce the soundtrack, they say "JONAS soundtrack has been confirmed and is set to release on July 19, 2010, by Walt Disney Records." Unfortunately, they do not have a source for this information, so I do not know if they made it up, or it was really from a news article. They do use different online sources, such as copy + pasting a JustJared article. I looked at this daydreamstars.blogspot.com/search/label/JONAS?updated-max=2010-05-28T14:04:00%2B08:00&max-results=20&start=12&by-date=false and the article before and the article after the JONAS soundtrack article had sources. We have to contact them to find out where they got this information. Great job on contacting John Fields, that helps us so a lot!
After John Fields confirmed that it wasn't meant to be released I assumed that Daydreamstars most likely has false info - after all, that's straight from the horse's mouth, unless there's a possibility Disney had other plans. I feel it's likely however that if it was intended to get a release he would know. Maybe it's just rumors? But if you want to contact them feel free.
I actually got another reply this morning from a mixer, Paul David Hager. He says that he and John Fields went through "all the songs" together, so now all that's left is to see what "all the songs" refers to. Maybe John Fields will have them in his files?
