i tried to post this before and couldn't get any help, so this is my second attempt. i've been helping this user on reddir find a really obscure tv episode from the 90s. i'll post their full discription as well as link the post.
"Thinking about horror puppet/stop motion today has me wondering if I am experiencing memories of another earth. Do any of you remember this weirdly obscure TV episode from the 90s?
A Puppet or Stop Motion TV show episode about a guy who gets a job as an executioner. The execution chamber is weird, it like drops a person into the room, a loud speaker blares what they are guilty for, and then the executioner presses the button to incinerate them.
At first he has trouble getting I to the job, but the senior executioner says he will get used to it.
[EDIT] the device that performed the execution was in a separate room then the executioners control panel. The guilty party would be Brugge into the room by an automatic chair thing... then a I vaguely remember a loudspeaker that would blare what the person is guilty for. Then the person screaming bloody murder before the executioner pressed the button, sending them down into the floor where they were possibly incinerated.
The guy eventually starts having problems with his wife because the job makes him a sociopath, or reveals that he is. So he finds a way to sneak her into the execution system and kills her.
It ends with him training the next executioner who has trouble at first, but he guides the new guy and creepily reassured him he will get used to it.
[EDIT] During the end moments, I remember the apprentice shivering during the first exclecutioun.
Not Twilight Zone or Tales from the Crypt. Possibly Sci-fi channel?
Similar in theme and form to this amazing creepy stop motion "Operator" by Sam Barnett [linked]
