This is the other archive that I found that has reviews stating that it's a predatory site. If someone else wants to sign up and risk it, that's ok, but I'm not. Nice find with that other article about the animation cells though.

When I clicked on the link, a message popped up saying 'WANT TO BUY THIS POSTER?' and the website is lookin' kinda sketchy ngl. It would be nice to buy the print, but I agree. If it does have reviews that say you're at risk, then it's better to stay safe.
I’m guessing they most likely saw it at a media archive museum such as the Paley Center. They’ve been known to have original prints of other shows and specials with their sponsor tags intact such as A Charlie Brown Christmas and Beverly Hillbillies.
The Rankin/Bass uploads (such as the Little Drummer Boy gas advertisements) got taken down as well unfortunately and I don’t know of any copies of those.

From what I can tell, the user himself deleted it. Likely worried he would get copyrighted.
So it turns out there IS more deleted footage from the special beyond these sponsor plugs. This website shows a cel taken from the sleigh ride scene that isn’t in the final special:
It’s mentioned there and I believe elsewhere that the sleigh ride scene originally ran longer. By the looks of the cel this was to occur after the Grinch and Max make it around the curve but before he steps out of Max. Watching the final scene carefully you can notice moments where it looks like things were cut including this brief one.
