There's this promo on YouTube from when "Bear in the Big Blue House" aired on Treehouse TV. Here it is (at 5:44) www.youtube.com/watch?v=XOZwroL5Xuc

The mysterious thing about this promo is that Jeff Sweeney is not the narrator. I have no memory of this promo, and I used to watch Treehouse all the time (I watched BITBBH a lot on there too).

Does anyone remember this promo. Does anyone know when it aired? Does anyone know why Jeff Sweeney is not the narrator? Thanks. I'm just curious.

Could it be that Treehouse was going through a “transitional period” in terms of narrators? The visual quality of the promo is pretty clear, but the end of the promo where it says “Bear in the Big Blue House Fridays” definitely looks like it could be from 2005-2009..so maybe it aired around then?

Maybe Jeff Sweeney had some sort of illness and couldn’t narrate the promos for a while?

Maybe. I know that BITBBH was taken off the station in July 2006 (and moved to Family Channel in November 2006). I just don't happen to know the narrator from my childhood. The guy who produced the promo is Jason Healey, and he has a Vimeo channel (where he uploaded this). vimeo.com/album/2355095/video/64502146
Maybe we could contact him about it if we can find more info on him.

Yeah. He might’ve had a day off from working at Treehouse. Maybe that’s why.

There was also a version with Jeff narrating the promo. Same with the end of Fifi and the Flowertots ending. There’s another one at the end with Fifi narrating. I remember a Babar and the Adventures of Badou promo with just Jeff narrating at the end from 2011 or 2012. I also remember other promos: Team Umizoomi, The Cat in the Hat Knows A Lot About That, Caillou and more. I used to have 2012 recordings of The Fresh Beat Band and The Wiggles but I don’t have them anymore.
