This video is obviously a hoax. The orchestra tuning at the beginning is ripped straight from the original PS3 startup screen, with added vinyl-like filters to sound more analog. Not only that, but the guy who made this video did a poor job editing the clip, since the orchestra stops playing way before the conductor even lifts his hand holding the baton, whereas in both the James Horner version and the reconstruction attempt the orchestra stops right when the hand appears on screen. The actual audio mix is obviously taken from the latest reconstruction attempt but with lower sound quality. In the background sound during "The Audience is Listening" card you can hear the obvious sudden fade out to a completely different clip, and at 0:34 it uses the same scratching sound used right at the beginning of the video. Not only you can hear that the audio was edited, but the video looks horribly blurry and with very washed out colors. Clearly not a 70mm transfer, whereas an actual 35mm transfer of the James Horner version looks superior. In short, this video is fake, plain and simple, but hey, props for the uploader to make the video with an actual anamorphic aspect ratio instead of being letterboxed. It kind of fooled me for a brief moment.

Another thing that debunks this: when the logo flies past in the video, you hear a low-pitch Deep Note. While this was thought to be present in the trailer for years, newer evidence shows that it was never there to begin with.
"oooh, you're a- a freaked out child in the woods..."
At this rate I only expect THX's official social media pages to upload vanilla Cimarron in its full glory, since they got the vast majority of the recalled copies of the trailer and saved in their archives, I hope. I don't think that any projectionist that kept the reel for themselves would be generous enough to unveil such rarity to the public.
Nah, man. That's pretty blatantly the later mix. They made it after theatres complained about the original blowing out their speakers. It's pretty common on the web.

That's the more well known version of the Cimarron trailer, or how I like to call, the James Horner Cut. Which reminds me, since recently there have been several evidences claiming that Deep Note isn't heard in the original mix, does that make the James Horner version more accurate than the reconstructions when it comes to the audio heard when the THX logo flies towards the screen? Also, there's nothing documented anywhere on who composed the music in the original mix, it could've been James Horner or it could've been someone else. But since the original version was recalled because of the music in the wormhole section, there's the possibility of both the vanilla mix's orchestral tuning and the second half of the trailer being carried over to the second mix. That's just me speculating, since, like I said, we have no idea who composed the original mix's music.
Also VHSUnderground The original mix is highly sought after because the vast majority of theaters sent the original version's reels back to THX, and neither THX nor the projectionists who kept the original tapes have plans to release it online. It's a trailer that very few people have seen personally, despite it being parodied a couple of times, most notably in Tiny Toons Adventures.
