Machinima Inc., once the biggest gaming-related YouTube channel out there, deleted all of its videos without any warning (though some of them have been set to private), after the channel being temporarily set to private. This is, apparently, the result of Machinima being restructured by AT&T, their current owners ever since the corporation acquired Machinima's parent company TimeWarner, last year, and being merged by Otter Games's Fullscreen, becoming from now on a name-only unit of said network.
You can bet that hundreds of Machinima's videos are now lost, though for know we're not sure if they'll ever get resurfaced by Fullscreen. One thing's for sure, it's really sad to see it gone. Machinima was one of the first channels I subscribed when I created my first YT account, over ten years ago, even though I unsubscribed afterwards because they overwhelmed me by taking over my subscription box. Nevertheless I adored several of its series such as The G-Man Squad, Sonic for Hire and Super Best Friends Play, back in the day. It's too bad that the staff dropped the ball so many times that the drop in quality of their shows was emminent, and eventually being bought out by Warner Bros., albeit I have no idea why did WB wanted to purchase a website which was pretty much dead by 2016, to begin with. Nevertheless I really miss the days when Machinima and machinimas (the genre of video) were popular on YouTube. And you can say that they officially die with this channel.
