I saw the end of a short film or something about 25 years ago that has stayed with me. The film had some kind of human sized duck that got famous and had its own show or something? only this duck was really an alien and it seemed like the world was ending somehow? because there was explosions everywhere and the duck went back to its spaceship to escape and the spaceship looked like a big bird's egg from the outside, the duck walks up the platform and the spaceship takes off just in time. If I remember correctly, this might have been a foreign film shown on an Australian TV station called SBS TV.
Haha I know huh, so weird. Only problem is I not too recently watched Howard the Duck, and that was not it sadly. Another weird thing I vaguely remember about it is, the duck in the film was famous to the point of possibly having a person in costume playing the duck within the film? And something about the actual duck or the man in the duck suit being injured somehow? But the film seems to end on the bird egg shaped spaceship leaving the planet, while things explode.
I know that I'm necro-posting, but this case didn't get solved with certainty, so I hope that replying anyway isn't such a major offence. I wonder if OP could also have been thinking of "Magic in the Mirror"? It also had a sequel named "Magic in the Mirror: Fowl Play". m.imdb.com/title/tt0116959/
